Flower Fest in Alpena is this weekend, June 5–7, and we’re ready for one of the best weekends of the summer ✨

Save the date FRIDAY JUNE 12 at Calia's Empurrium 🐾

Brittany of Fenner's Endeavors Dog Grooming will be coming to help Calia's EmPURRium raise much needed funds for our local animal shelters.🐾

🐶Bring your dog to the Water Street Commons On JUNE 12th from 11am-6pm for a $5 nail trim! 100% of proceeds will go to a shelter of your choosing - Second Chance Animal Shelter, Alcona Humane Society, or Huron Humane Society of Alpena. 😽

(We are unable to accommodate cats at this time, but feel free to reach out for a list of local pet groomers who offer this service.)

Over these next several winter months, the Water Street Commons will be closed as we prepare for an exciting 2026.

We are grateful for the 17 businesses who were part of the common's first year either as pop-ups or seasonal shops — and all the customers who supported these new businesses and showed them the possibilities that exist in Downtown Alpena.

From all of us at the Water Street Commons, we hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! 🎅🏼

Tomorrow, Saturday 12/27, several shops will be open for the final day of the season with special sales that you won’t want to miss! Stop by from 11-4 pm and 11-3 pm.

After this weekend, shops will be closed through the spring as we plan and prepare for the summer season.
