The canned chicken turned out wonderfully and I didn’t blow anything up 😂 Bone broth is going to be heading to the second phase in the fridge to let all the fat accumulate and be skimmed off. I even impressed myself by making my own homemade Velveeta tonight 🤯 Y’all I don’t know that I should ever buy it again, it was so simple, and turned out amazing!! I’ll have to do a video of me making it again 😃

There can be something so calming just watching animals being animals. Enjoying nature is one of my favorite things, animals, thunderstorms, a pretty sunrise or sunset, a rainbow, you name it! Watching hummingbirds come in or cardinals at the bird feeders, chickens pecking the ground, the goats jumping up and exploring things or the sheep getting on their back two hoofs to reach an up high leaf. This probably isn’t everyone’s idea of fun or something that would bring them joy, but it sure does for me ☺️ I have so much to be thankful for and this is just a snippet! God has brought my little family and I so far 💜

This grow out is one of my favorite colorings that I have!! Her and a bunch of the other chickens have figured out how to get out of the electric fence and free range. I honestly am ready for the chickens to free range again, it is so fun walking around the homestead with chickens all over. We were able to trap a couple foxes so and I’m hoping that we won’t have another issue with them! Shadow, the livestock guardian dog, is finishing up obedience with the homestead husband and then we will resume training with all the animals and protect them from any predators 🥰

These goats are so fun and SO sweet! They love to be scratched on the noggin around their horns. We got a little girl and we named her Daisy and we also got her brother and named him Bo 🥰 I’m hoping to be able to add a doe in the spring, breed them and then we will be able to have fresh goats milk!!

Good morning all! Taking you on another morning of getting some of the animals up and fed 🥰 My main flock, grow outs, letting the lambs out and some surprise new faces I’m sure you’ll like meeting 😍 I am absolutely loving having them here on the homestead! Agnes also decided she wanted to be a Mom again, as if raising chicks one time this year wasn’t enough 😂 So we will have baby chicks again in a couple weeks Lord willing 💜 Thankful for this life we have been blessed with, it is more than I deserve!

I’ve noticed I seem to go in spurts where I will do a bunch of things all at once 😅 I would imagine I am not the only one who does this. Last night was one of those nights! I decided to try making homemade juice in my Ball Steamer for the first time last night so I prepped all the fruits and loaded them up to steam. Then I decided to go ahead and dehydrate some apple slices while I was at it because why not (and the hubby and kids love them)! Well, when the steamer was done I was left with wonderful peaches, apples and strawberries that were soft and did still have a little juice left in them and I couldn’t let that go to waste so I made a cobbler and put the rest in a container in the fridge 😂 the cobbler turned out amazing! Yogurt I was making finished up and I got another batch going because it is something we use a bunch and I kind of want to try a pretzel recipe using Greek yogurt 😃 I also piddled around doing laundry and dishes and getting meat ready and in the crock pot for a meal today. I am thankful that I have a family that I can do this stuff for and we really are so blessed! Does anyone else here go through spurts where they just do a whole bunch of stuff all at once? I’m sure there is a more efficient way to spread it all out to get done but it seems when I set my mind to doing something and I’m thinking about it I’m just going to get it done even if it takes me several hours, I’m sure this annoys my husband some 😂😬
