Ask any farmer when livestock will give birth and they'll tell you the hottest and coldest days of the year. Carter was so excited when he tested a sow last night to find she was in milk, a true sign labor is near. This morning, he was the proudest little farmer on the block when he checked the first sow to learn she had farrowed a dozen in the early morning hours. Wait until he gets home to find the second sow has delivered 18! One more to go in this heat.

Friends: if you’d like a mason jar with sunnies to put on your kitchen table or give to someone to brighten their day they are $5/ jar; you pick up or I can possibly meet locally.
