Day 2 of the Evin Evan’s Spring Spectacular Dairy goat Show was just as amazing as Day 1! Thank you to Judge Katie Jackson and a HUGE thank you to Judge Karen Smith for stepping in last minute to replace a judge. As always, Kim Peace put on an amazing show with a great group of volunteers who kept things moving smoothly. Grateful to other exhibitors for stepping in to help handle as it never fails we have different breeds showing at the same time in different rings. One of the joys of bringing multiple breeds😂

Numbers for the weekend:
16 goats
6 breeds
10 milking legs
5 dry legs
2 new pending permanent champions

And 4 Best Senior Doe in Shows!!
(I think our Toggenburg program is working for us❤️❤️)

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming of milking and cheese making:)

Day 1 of the Evin Evans Spring Spectacular is in the books. Thank you to our judges, Ed Jodlowski and Travis Cockburn and to the show committee for running such a smooth and efficient show. We won some ribbons and had an amazing time with fellow goat friends we don’t get to see often enough. Back in the ring tomorrow for day 2!

Who would have thought having a Veterinary Technician program, agricultural-based Clemson University, and a brand new Veterinary School all within 10 miles of our farm, that our summer help would be 3 ACC Track and Field scholarship student athletes? We have enjoyed having Brian, Victor, and Gideon volunteering at the farm this summer. Gideon leaves us this weekend as he transfers to Oregon to finish his undergraduate degree. Brian and Victor head home to Kenya at the end of June to visit family before returning to Clemson to start their fall semester. These kids have been a joy to have around. All three are fast learners who truly love animals. You can’t ask for more than that!
