Good morning.
Did yall survive to Friday?
Late summerish I took in a flock that was attacked by a predator an hour and a half from here. Among them were our mini amerucana that lives with the seramas and is currently raising a baby, two silkie hens living with one of my roosters and this fine little brat. She was always attached to me. Flying up to my shoulder almost instantly. She was a mere few week old chick when she came here.

Seems as shes gotten older her flights have taken her to higher elevations. She prefers water view high rises over ground level apartments. 🤷‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Morning.
Yall, I swear raising peanut has literally taken 10 YEARS off my life. It doesnt help that her siblings had passed unexpectedly so now I walk on entire egg shells about her care. Last night, I got home a little late and actually got to the pen at dark. I found her with her ENTIRE head stuck through one of the fence panels that shield her pen from wind. Theres a small piece at the bottom that has broken off and she some how manage to put her head in, and wedge it between two pickets. Unable to free herself. I walked in to her clearly struggling to breathe. My heart stopped and my soul left my body. I scrambled to free her and clutched her tight in my arms, against me. She let out the most exhausted peeeeppp. I carried her into the coop for bed. Loki kind of yelling in her face. I still haven't determined if its an "are you ok?" Or a "good job dummy". But hes my gentle soul bird and its likely a mix of both. I spent part of the night watching her on camera, luckily she seems ok. Ive always said timing is everything.

Good morning!
I personally am not, and have never been a morning person. (Sounds pretty epic to indulge in a passion that requires early mornings) today is my especially early morning. I was greeted by Juno, who has decided to dress up for breakfast. Dont you think her tie looks just stunning?

😭 some how she managed to get two feathers over her head and tangled. Why didnt anyone tell me sebastopols needed regular brushing? Hahahahaaaaa.......DONT BRUSH YOUR SEBASTOPOLS! kidding!
