That’s right, the Honeybee NUCs arrive this week!
Here’s the details: NUC arrival at our house Friday morning May 15, 2026
Pick Up Schedule: Friday 10AM to 7PM
Saturday AFTERNOON ONLY 2PM to 7PM
Sunday 10AM to 5PM
If you need to make other arrangements please contact us.

**Please note that there are several Road Closures in the area due to construction. Hwy 97 is closed completely at Hwy 29 and also by the Bridge at the north end of Athens. GPS should be helpful but if uncertain please call us.**

Bee Update May 7, 2026
This cool/chilly weather has not been cooperative for the bees to establish up to expectations. Decision has been made to allow more time for them to build and strengthen. We are anticipating, looking at the weather forecast, arrival here later next week. More communication when we have clear information and set a Pick Up Schedule.

::Today’s update regarding delivery and pick up for honeybee NUCs::
The latest from the supplier is that the NUCs will be ready about May 7th as they need a little time yet.
When we know for sure the weather forecast and can coordinate a time for delivery to our house, we will message everyone with a Pick Up Schedule.

Attention~~~~ BEE PACKAGES arrive for Pick Up at our house--- 237100 Corlad Rd, Athens, WI 54411 --- This coming Weekend
Here’s the Schedule == Saturday April 25 and Sunday April 26 == 8AM to 7PM
IF they are ready sometime Friday late afternoon and evening we will get a message out so watch for any updates
Reminder, this weekend is PACKAGES ^^^ Next weekend is NUCs
ALSO we have additional Packages available and will have additional NUCs on a First Come, First Served Basis

Bee News
Time to get excited about Bees!
Packages are expected to be here on April 24th. Of course, this still is subject to change due to weather conditions. Watch for specific details next week. There will be a schedule sent out to those who ordered packages.
Regarding NUC delivery here we’re anticipating approximately the first weekend of May but will share more information when certain.

Here’s the latest BUZZ

Sunny Maple Farm will be selling honeybees again this spring. We will begin accepting orders on February 1st .

The prices are:
2 # Package $135 if you are a current paid member of Central Wisconsin Beekeepers Association (CWBA) or $145 for non-members of CWBA.
3 # Package $145 for CWBA members or $155 for non-members of CWBA.
Please specify if you want Italian or Carniolan and the number of packages desired.
Marked Queens are available on request for an
additional $5 per package

Extra Queens are available to order at $35 for CWBA members
and $40 for non-members of CWBA. Specify how many and if you want Italian or Carniolan. If you want a marked Queen add $5 each.

We have had a good amount of interest in NUCs again this year so we will also be accepting orders for those. The price for a four-frame NUC is $165 for CWBA members
and $175 for non-members. Specify Italian or Carniolan and how many you want to order.

Payment is due upon ordering and no later than April 1st.
We accept cash or check.

If you are a member of Central Wisconsin Beekeepers Association and have not yet paid your 2026 dues
of $15 per family, please do that soon so you will continue
to enjoy the benefits. Deadline for dues is the end of February
or you will not continue to receive the emails for the monthly meetings containing the agenda and ZOOM link.
