It's that time of year again - let's plant out these potatoes so they don't go to the compost pile at my day job (they do a great job donating so many wonderful products, it is a lot of work to circumvent waste!).
We have a registered non-profit called Frootful Harvest, focused on farm and food production education. We also work closely with schools, through groups we regularly volunteer with, to establish gardens and garden programs. If you can make a donation to either of these efforts please do so! There is a small black lockbox on the farmstand. If not, no biggie, just enjoy some free potatoes for your garden.
*Please, do not take the black crates.*
Bags are 2 pounds worth of seed potato. My personal favorite is the Adirondack Blue, which stays purple after being cooked.
Potatoes available : Adirondack Blue, Yukon Gold, Keuka Gold, Red Pontiac, Russet Burbank, Eva, Kennebec
Onion sets and red shallots for planting, too.
310 Sopers Mill rd, Auburn. Pallets by our lil farmstand. Come by, grab some for yourself and a friend!
Eat veggies and be merry.
