And that’s a wrap on my first year as an open and 4-H rabbit exhibitor at the Indiana State Fair! Today, I competed in the Rabbit Ambassador contest, I was nominated by Tonya, my DeKalb County 4-H Rabbit Superintendent to represent my county. I competed against 40 other youth in the junior division and placed in the top 10. Our placings were based on combined scores from 3 different competitions (showmanship, rabbit breed id, and a test). Proud of how I did and proud to represent my county at the Indiana State Fair! Next up the DeKalb County Fair 🍀🐰

Thank you to my grandma for helping me study and my grandpa and Bentley for helping me get down to Indy and get set up!

Fun morning at the Shipshewana Meltdown! We only showed in the youth B show, and brought home some 1sts and 2nds. Happy with those results since this was the first time these had been on the table. Glad to get some great feedback, we really liked the judge. She gave amazing reasons for her placings and we learned a lot!

Busy busy weekend! We moved some bunnies around, trying to get our barn set up like we want it. Thank you Grandpa Krafft for making cages so I can expand. Thank you Kylee, Janalle, and Kylie for helping me sort my Holicer litters and decide who’s staying and who’s moving on. I will have a few Blue Holicer jr bucks, and I’m letting two mini Rex showmanship sr bucks hop. Both of those boys are super nice and would be great for 1st or 2nd year 4-Hers. I put in a lot of time working with both. As I mentioned, I’ll get pics this week, and we are planning on going to the Lafayette show this weekend.

Pardon the mess! Just working with the babies 💜 We ended up with only 4 does out of both of our first Blue Holicer litters. We plan to repeat both breedings in the next few weeks for Junior babies for our county fair. Shout out to Janalle Pfefferkorn Kara and Kylie for helping us s*x both litters!!
