Tao 飯点 (no IG) is a new Chinese restaurant in north Austin offering different regional Chinese food. It’s a sister restaurant to Hunan Bistro. A 10/10 family style meal with some dishes you won’t find anywhere else in Austin. Really love the space and I’m excited to explore more of the menu! Btw they also have big rooms in the back for private dining or larger parties.

Did you know Skipjack Oyster has a monthly oyster omakase? It’s a chef-driven multi-course oyster experience that takes place every last Friday of the month at the raw bar 🦪🌊 with fun dressings like chimichurri, pomegranate mignonette, michelada, serrano yuzu, and many more!

On the table 🍽️:
- oyster omakase $60 per person | comes housemade focaccia, amuse-bouche and lots of oysters (based on availability/seasonality)

Péché Austin a long time Austin favorite, serving French cuisine just launched their new summer menu ☀️ really enjoyed the wild boar bolognese, lamb loin, and veal sweetbreads. Plus they have a great happy hour sun/mon all day, tues-fri 4-7pm with 1/2 off select food and $6 cocktails. Thanks to Péché for hosting us!

is a contemporary omakase experience 🍣🥢 starting out with a lovely welcome drink (think pandan, yuzu, calamansi) then a full 17-course omakase experience including dessert and unlimited cucumber/ginger salad to cleanse the palate. Was fun to see creative and fun toppings like the tomatillo kimchi, le buerre butter w seaweed, and fermented jalapeño. The price $185 per person thank you for hosting us.

Kitsu Nori has a top sushi happy hour that happens twice a day! Plus their DIY handroll set up guarantees a fresh crispy nori every time. The fish is chopped up very finely in the handrolls so it’s kinda hard to taste the fish but it’s still a good deal on happy hour. Also don’t skip the veggie handrolls, the eggplant 🍆 and mushroom 🍄‍🟫 were some of our faves (only $2.50 each on HH!) 🍱
