The ducks put themselves to bed in the chicken coop last night!

We're just sick this morning with grief.
Farming is hard.
Something attacked our ducks again early this morning. 4 are missing, 2 were found dead in the pen. The rest of the ducks escaped and were in the middle of the road. The police were called, they tried to get ahold of me, but my phone was on silent. Thankfully we have amazing neighbors who kept trying to call me and the ducks were at their house. We were able to get the remaining ducks back home safely.
I had one camera by the barn but I had changed out the SD card on Wednesday and stupidly forgot to turn the camera back on, so we have no idea what got them, I suspect foxes again though.
The predators are no joke this year. We'll be working on training them to go inside the barn at night and keeping it locked up. We have a boar and barrow with, I've never had an issue with the pigs in the same pen before (other than when Charlotte was in labor). The predators are really getting brave.
We lost our Pekin Drake, 2 female khaki Campbell's, a female swedish, a female Mallard and a Rouen Drake 😞

The ducks thought the hose was great and even had some zoomies 😂 🦆🪿
Batman thought he he was a cat and just wanted some attention! (Don't mind the construction, we're building a new ramp off the barn door for the ducks and so I don't have to walk in mud outside the door! 😁

Another great garden haul! There are 2 bowls of green beans as well!
We also got the pigs moved to fresh pasture today.
