🚨‼️ACT TODAY: THE ANIMALS NEED YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER‼️🚨

An incredibly dangerous and unnecessary bill, HB 1766, is about to pass, and if we don’t speak up right now, countless animals will suffer in silence. Please do not delay. Your voice is URGENTLY needed before Wednesday, April 15.

HB 1766 would:
1️⃣ Block humane societies/humane agents from helping investigate cruelty and neglect
2️⃣ Force investigations to stop if farm animals are simply present, even if other animals are clearly suffering
3️⃣ Leave police without the expertise needed to recognize life-threatening conditions
4️⃣ Result in more animals enduring prolonged suffering and dying preventable, horrific deaths

Let that sink in: Animals in desperate need will be left behind.

Emmett, a horse who was almost left to die, would have been abandoned under this legislation. When police first saw him, they thought he was OK because they aren’t trained to evaluate animal health and welfare. However, Emmett was anything but OK. In fact, he was on the brink of death. Thankfully, our trained humane investigators stepped in, our team rehabilitated him, and Emmett is now living the life every animal deserves.

If this bill stays on the Consent Agenda, it will pass quietly, without debate! We CANNOT let this happen.
