Good news! As the older hens drop feathers and go on winter break from laying, the poults I hatched this spring have started their first shift. So I have eggs again!

The turkeys scared me this morning. They usually greet me at my car on my way to work. No turkeys. So I started calling them and looking for them. Apparently they went to visit the neighbors. Thankfully their recall is better than the dogs. Needless to say putting in better fencing is on my weekend to-do list.

This is always included for our customers that purchase chicks from us, and we open limited spots for others.

The drop off spot, where we rotate our meat birds on pasture, and where we process are a significant distance from the rest of our flocks to maintain biosecurity. Pickup, if we are returning your bird as a stew bird (see flyer) will be at the Farm Stand.

First time letting a hen set her own eggs to hatch. She has at least 4! Little cochin bantams. Dad is a bobtail so I am curious how they will feather out with the black mama genes.
