Hi everybody!

1. No calves yet. If you want to post new guesses because they're much later than expected, please do. Last summer was very hot and humid and looks they got bred later than we thought.

2. Marrow bones and soup bones are buy one get one FREE! They're great for making bone broth (very healthy) and giving to the dog as a treat. We usually sell out of these at the farmers market, but aren't there this summer. Bonus for you thru June 10th!

3. The weather is finally nice out and we're feeding the bison every Saturday if you'd like to come out and say hi to the herd:) If you'd like to come please send us an email or text so we know. 269-430-3250, [email protected].

******Market Update: We won't be at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market this summer 😞. We hoped to maintain a presence there, but it's not going to work this year. If you're a past customer and would like to order online, please let us know and we can look at setting up a monthly or bi-monthly pick up in the market parking lot. If you have questions, let us know.

Important Notice for Kalamazoo Farmers Market attenders: we will only be there part-time this summer (every other week). The market is under new management this year and I'm not sure of our schedule yet. If you check back, I will post more info soon.

No babies yet! Still waiting. The photo below is from a couple years ago. There are 7 yearlings in the herd and some of them have pestered their moms so much, they're still nursing ocassionally. It's intersting to watch a male bison 2/3 the size of his mom try to nurse. Hopefully when the new calves arrive they leave off!

Happy April! 🌷
It’s that time of year again when the bison are getting ready to have their calves. I’m looking forward to some cuteness after a long winter. Last year most of the calves were born in April/May. Put in your guess below and the guess closest to the arrival of the first calf gets a free pound of ground! If a date is already taken, we can have multiple people on it.

Cummins & Son Ultraline Hydraulic Squeeze Chute. 220 volt single phase electric motor. The two chute sections are curved and have hydraulic doors for each. It has been modified for bison and is heavy duty.

Brown Plains Yearlings - Male. We have 3 robust yearlings for sale. $2,500 each or $7000 for all 3. Bison are herd animals and you need to have at least 2-3 if raising them.

I (Ashley) am on board with the Lunatic Farmer.
I’ve thought the food production systems and governing bodies in this country are sad for a few decades. Now i have an autistic child and it frustrates me even more. Thats why it’s important we do things differently at Timber Valley Bison.

The Lunatic Farmer is not crazy, but he does see and do things differently than industrial agriculture. Like us he is a proponent of regenerative agriculture 👍.

Below is current pricing for our meats. Most of the prices went up this year. Wish we didn't need to, however this is our first main price increase in 4 years since we started selling retail. Quarter bison are now $10.49/lb hanging weight and halves are $9.99/lb.
