Still a little in shock at winning the pitch prize at the pitch contest yesterday in Boston. This was the culmination of an 8 week intensive entrepreneur bootcamp, where I met so many other inspiring food business owners and learned so much from the experts at Sam Adams about the highs and lows of entrepreneurship. Thanks to my fellow New England cohort members for being amazing, the pitch judges for believing in me, and my fellow pitch finalists for a tough competition. I got to hear every one of your pitches and they were all compelling and heartfelt. I'm so honored to be growing Asian food in Maine and redefining what Asian-American foodways can look like in New England.

Thank you to the Boston Public Library for having me as a culinary instructor at the Nutrition Lab for AAPI Heritage Month! I was as surprised as you probably are when I was contacted by their chef-in-residence, as I wasn't even aware the BPL had culinary instruction. I've taught two kimchi classes and am looking forward to returning for many more Asian culinary classes (perhaps we'll do dumplings next!) And special thanks to the Boston Neighborhood Network for capturing parts of the class and letting me talk about my Asian-American experience.

I'm super excited to be a part of the 2026 Sam Adams Brewing the American Dream business cohort, along with 59 other small food and bev business across the United States! Getting to meet other small food businesses at our Boston orientation has already been worth all the time I spent on the application, and that was only day 1!! Next Tuesday is Lunar New Year, a time where I always take a long pause to reflect on last year and the upcoming lunisolar year. Historically, I haven’t been great about showing up on social media, and in times when it seems like the world changes so quickly day to day, I find myself head down, burying myself in making food. Feeding people is what I know, and sometimes it feels like the only thing I can do. I have to remind myself that feeding people is and always has been a hard job and an important one. I’m grateful for all of you who continue to eat and love my food and enable my little company to support our neighbors here in Maine. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
