We've got big news to share: the farm family is growing!!! About a week and half ago we brought home a dozen baby chicks 🐣🐥. We're down to 11 now 😥 but they seem to be doing alright. It's been fun watching them.

Look what we found today! Fenn wasn't sure what to do with the bat so we asked our friends at Sleeping Bear Wildlife Fund. They gave us great advice: "They can't fly from the ground so if you can scoop him up (a shovel works great) to give a.lift or help it cling to a tree, hopefully that's all it will need!"

Bats can be alarming but they are super cool and really important to our environment! Check out the link below to learn more about bats and what you can do to help protect them.

This sun has got us feeling all sorts of spring fever! Looking forward to starting seeds and getting back in the garden. (But also still relishing time by the wood stove, working on puzzles, and reading!) Who else is out there sorting seeds and planning???

**I am officially SOLD OUT of garlic powder!** Looking forward to next year's garlic season 🧄! (edited 10.20.25)

Only 2 garlic powder jars left! 4 oz. of pure garlic powder for $8. All the garlic is grown at the farm and processed by hand. First come, first serve (cross posted on Instagram, will go by time stamps).

Each year I like to try growing one at the farm. This year it was mangelwurzel (purchased from Baker Creek Seeds) and while it didn't get as big as the one in their photo, it was definitely bigger than your typical beet! I haven't tried it yet but plan to in the next couple weeks. Was working on freezing these ones, has a turnip texture when cutting them. Will follow up with how it tastes!

Farm stand is open tomorrow, Saturday October 4th, for the LAST day of the season! There's green bell peppers 🫑, jalapeno peppers, Hungarian hot peppers 🌶️, onions 🧅, yellow summer squash, cherry tomatoes, Roma tomatoes 🍅, and Blackberry purple potatoes 🥔 (purple on the outside and inside! 🤯

I have to work my full-time job so I WON'T be able to take WIC Produce Connection or Senior Project Fresh. I apologize for the inconvenience.

The farm stand is still open - even without the banner! Last day for the stand is October 4th.

Make sure to stock up on your veggies this weekend at the farm stand! There's cucumbers 🥒, bell peppers 🫑, yellow summer squash, jalapenos, onions 🧅 , Hungarian hot peppers 🌶️, Roma tomatoes 🍅, and cherry tomatoes. Back in the stand: garlic powder 🧄! Limited supply!
