Growing up in LA, my parents always reminded us how important it is to keep our roots alive. From listening to the stories of the motherland to learning the art of making pupusas from my mom, my heritage has always been my compass. 🫓

She taught me early on that no matter where life takes me, I should always wear my Latina identity with immense pride. As I was browsing picking up some of my favorite items, I made my usual stop by the freezer aisle and had to do a double take because I saw my photo! 🤯✨I also spotted my friend Candice from . Thank you for the awesome shout out 🥹

Big thanks to some of our followers who suggested trying our pupusas with kimchi 👀🔥
We stopped by (their kimchi selection is seriously next level 😅) and had a tough time choosing… but we went with 🙌

Here’s the recipe—make it yours and don’t forget to add your own sazón
• 12 oz whole peeled tomatoes
• 1 tbsp garlic
• 1 tbsp onion
• 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
• ½ tsp oregano (preferred)
• ½ tsp cumin (preferred)
• ½ tsp black pepper
• Splash of apple c***r vinegar

Blend all ingredients together and add 1 tsp cooking oil of your choice cook for about 15 minutes, let those flavors come alive, and enjoy ❤️🔥
