🌿 Something is growing at Friends Farm.

We are planting our herbal learning garden this week — a living classroom of medicinal plants, traditional herbs, and culturally meaningful varieties that will be featured in our Raíces de la Tierra program all summer long.

We couldn't help but give Ann one of our Lemon Mint plants. Related to Bee Balm, it has a beautiful flower and is delicious to boot!

It might be our new favorite herb and we will probably be planting it everywhere in the future!

🌿 This summer, Friends Farm is hosting Raíces de la Tierra — a free bilingual community program built around traditional plant knowledge, land-based healing, and cultural food traditions.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
🌱 Free bimonthly farm stand at BoCo Coop every Sunday — pay what you can, take what you need
🌿 Free hands-on workshops all summer long — come learn, get into the garden, and take plants and medicine home with you

🍄 Upcoming workshops include:
— Mycelium Magic: Mushroom Cultivation · August 15
— Summer Foraging & Herb Walk with Catherine Hunziker · August 16
— Ceremonial Retreat Sept 5
— And more through September!

🌺 Community Herbalist Training — a deeper cohort for those who want to go further, with access to our herb and U-Pick garden every session. You leave with plants, seeds, tinctures, and the knowledge to keep growing at home.

Every workshop gives you direct access to the herbal learning garden — you get to touch, smell, harvest, and take things home. This is not a sit-and-listen program. It is hands-on, land-based, and yours to keep.
Free or pay what you can. In English and Spanish. Open to everyone.
