Finally got the lambs to pasture today. I wanted to wait until the heat wave passed and enough time had passed since they were weaned. Waiting at least a month helps cut down on the chance that they will go through fencing to get back with the ewes. In a couple of weeks they can go back to the ewes.

The flies have been really bad this year. We need to catch the flock and put fly repellent on them and spray any of the bites that they will have. We have an aluminum bandage spray that will double as protection from the sun because the flies have damaged their skin to the point of wool loss. We will then be moving them to the back pasture (from the marshy pasture) where there are fewer biting flies.
