Ruby's Bar & Grill No trip to Coney Island is complete without a stop at legendary Ruby’s Bar & Grill! We used the wood to make the tables, the bar, the walls and the ceiling.
(1286)

Ruby's is the oldest bar and grill on the boardwalk and is the ONLY place in Coney that you can still walk under the original boardwalk! With the Atlantic Ocean and beach in our front yard, a historic amusement park in our backyard and a bevy of traditional boardwalk shops and shows on either side of us, you can’t beat the view and ambiance at Ruby's! That same vibe continues inside with our impressive collection of old-time photos and memorabilia; our award-winning jukebox; and original boardwalk wood from the 1920s scattered throughout. The boardwalk space that Ruby’s occupies has been a Coney Island tradition since 1934, when it started out as the Hebrew National Deli and Bar. We've been family owned and operated since we opened in 1972, and we are the only full-service bar and grill on the boardwalk with indoor seating. Our charm and infectious energy have earned us lots of attention: Ruby's has appeared on TV shows and in movies; was voted the 14th sexiest beach bar in the world by the Travel Channel; and was named best bar in Brooklyn in 1999, 2002 and 2005!

Well… looks like Mother Nature had other plans for us this weekend. Rubys will also be closed again tomorrow, Sunday the 26 due to inclement weather. 🌧️

This weekend may be a complete wash, but the boardwalk will be waiting when the sunshine returns.
With only a few weeks left of the 2026 season, let’s make every Ruby’s day count!!

Let us remember the lives lost, honor the heroes who answered the call, and hold in our hearts the families forever changed on September 11th.

25 years later, we still remember their names.

We will never forget.

What a way to close out Labor Day weekend! 🎆 From the final Friday Night Fireworks of the season to visits from David Costabile and returning friend Dylan O’Brien, it was certainly one to remember!

Labor Day may mark the end of Coney Island’s high season, but our season isn’t over yet. We’ll be here through November, weather permitting—so come enjoy a little more time on the Boardwalk with us! ❤️

09/02/2026

Summer may be winding down and the kids may be heading back to school, but we’ve still got one more Friday night to light up the boardwalk!

Come out this Friday, September 4th (weather permitting of course) and catch the LAST fireworks of the season with us at Ruby’s! Help us give summer the send-off it deserves. ❤️🍻
