𝗜𝗱𝗮𝗵𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 🐟

Long before the Magic Valley became one of the largest trout-farming regions in the country, early fish farms and hatcheries were beginning to establish trout production as part of Idaho’s agricultural landscape.

The region’s abundant supply of cold, clear spring water made it uniquely well suited for raising trout, and over the decades, the industry grew alongside the communities and agriculture of the Magic Valley.

Today, Idaho is the leading producer of commercial trout in the nation, with the Magic Valley at the heart of the industry.

These throwback photos offer a look at some of the farms and people who helped build Idaho’s trout-farming industry into what it is today.

It’s National Seafood Month! 🐟

This week, we’re taking a closer look at seafood in the U.S., starting with a simple question: Where does America’s seafood come from?

A large majority of the seafood Americans eat is imported, but domestic seafood production plays an important role too. U.S. aquaculture helps put domestically produced seafood on American plates, and Idaho is home to one of the country’s biggest trout-farming regions.

This is a full-time position working with facility equipment, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, installing and maintaining equipment, and supporting our team’s day-to-day operations.

We loved being part of the 2026 Sparkling W**e Spectacular with Life's Kitchen! 🐟✨

This year’s theme, Kindness in Motion, was brought to life through an evening celebrating community, connection, and the young adults in the Life’s Kitchen program.

We were honored to provide the trout for the evening, and it looks like those fish tacos were a hit!
