I have had a lot of interesting conversations over the past few weeks, there has been some frustrations and some extremely informative and engaging conversations on both sides.
I wanted to just come out here and maybe clear some things up again, we have had a lot of people come in thinking we are a butcher shop and that we are cutting meat here, we are not, we raise the WS Ranch beef and we use our Utah based small independent processor (butcher) to have a good stock of beef available when we dont have our own, we have been confused with another butcher shop and that has frustrated some people, it has also been mentioned that we just repackage meat.... we absolutely do not do this.
I have tried hard to let everyone know from the beginning that we are ranchers with a retail meat shop offering our own Utah raised beef when we can as well as beef that we get from our butcher, who sources great quality beef just as most butchers do, it just so happens to come from UT. so it is pre-packaged and frozen to maintain the absolute best quality and freshness. We may not be the type of store for everyone however we don't deserve to be treated poorly because of some miscommunications. I just ask that if you aren't exactly looking for this type of product, which is ok, we ask you to be a little more understanding and kind when you discover we aren't a traditional butcher shop. If you are looking for our type of store, please always feel free to ask any questions, I love talking about our story and what led us into this venture of selling beef out of a storefront instead of off the ranch.
⬇️ A little fun fact, this is Zuess and one of our mama cows, who by the way was staking her claim 😆.
Zuess was the first bull to regrow the herd on the WS Ranch after Juan moved back in 2010. Like a lot of ranchers as his parents got older they sold off their herd and started leasing the land to other producers, once these leases were up the first few head of bred cows were purchased and soon after that we purchased Zuess, this was when the 3rd/4th generation began again on the WS Ranch.
