If you'll indulge my sentimental hogwash for a brief moment, I just wanted to share a quick appreciation post.

Last Friday, when we opened the truck, the first thing we saw was a young kid making a dead sprint for the window. My mind instantly went back to the first time I ran up to an ice cream truck and how excited I was. I was honestly really moved with gratitude at the thought that my food was this exciting. I had to stop myself from tearing up because making people happy with my food has been my passion for so long and there were SO many years where it felt like a dead dream.

It seems like every time we open here lately, the response from the community is overwhelmingly kind and supportive. We're selling it out faster than we can smoke it!
Last night we ran for about an hour and a half non-stop, and in that time I saw nothing but friendly faces, patient friends, and supportive community members, to the point that by the time I closed the window, I did break down in tears because I was truly overwhelmed.

To everyone who has waited at the window longer than anticipated or had to accept the fact that we have just run out of the item you came for, and even to the one guy I promised a bun last week and I completely forgot about, thank you, for your patience and your support. To everyone that's come out and had a great experience and told people about it, thank you for your support and for the free publicity! Keep sounding the alarm!
To all of our customers past, present and future, thank you! It's a cliche thing to say, but we literally couldn't do this without you and we really really want to be doing this. So let's keep doing it as long as you guys want!

Good morning Folks! 🐓📢🐓📢

Opening this evening at 421 Creamery! 🍦

We know it's a little early to be thinking about supper plans, but we're not going to be in the usual spot tonight, so we wanted to give you time to plan! 🕘🕚⏱️🕕

As much as we love staying close to home in Butler, our head chef negotiated a clause in his contract that requires being stationed near Amaretto Cherry ice cream every once in awhile! 🍒🍨

So while we're stocking up on that and the Lemon Cheesecake at the creamery in town, we're gonna be slinging carnivore platters to try to support our ice cream habit!

That's right! We've got 🥩🍖🥓🍖🥩 brisket, pulled pork and smoked sausage tonight and you can get a platter with all three of them AND our sweet and smoky baked beans paired nicely with our sauce and slaw! 🤤🤤

Opening around 5:30 at 421 Creamery in Mountain City!
Don't fear the spicy sausage or the heat from the barbecue sauce! The antidote is only steps away tonight! 🍦

Open tonight with the meat trifecta!🥩🍖🥓

Nope! It's not a mirage! 🏝️

Much like an oasis in the middle of the desert though, we are coming to you on this Wednesday morning with some relief from the drudgery of the middle of the week! 🏝️🏝️🌬️🔥🧑‍🍳

We are opening tonight at the Butler Walmart and to cure the hump day blues we will have the carnivore platters back!! 🥳🥳

Our signature classic pulled pork, delicious smoked sausage cut into bite size pieces, and our famous and highly demanded brisket, all in one platter with our sweet and smoky baked beans!! 🫘🐖🤩

If you have been wanting the brisket, better come order a carnivore platter tonight before we run out! 😞

We will open around 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. for supper this evening at the DG in Butler!

Great news! If you have been jumping on Facebook all day hoping to find motivation to create supper plans, you finally jumped on at the right time! This is your motivation!⚡ Don't worry though, we're not going to try to motivate you to cook a big fancy supper🧑‍🍳. We just want to motivate you to get in the car🏎️ and meet us at the Butler Walmart this evening! 🌄 We're keeping it simple and classic this evening with our pulled pork as our meat🍖 and we'll have our sweet and smoky baked beans as our side!🌬️🫘 Come by and grab a sandwich if you're feeling like a light meal or grab a pulled pork platter with a bowl of beans if you want a good, hearty supper! Either way, we'll be opening up at the DG in Butler by around 5:30! See you then!🔥🔥

Open tonight in Butler!!🥳🥳🥳

📣📣‼️ NEW MENU ITEM ALERT!!‼️📣📣

Here at Better Off BBQ, we are generally very proud of the meat that comes from our smokers. That said, our sides do get a lot of love from our customers and they are tired of playing second fiddle! Electricity supply generally keeps us down to one side only so we can keep a variety of meats going, but this weekend, we're going to let a couple of our star meats take the weekend off so that pulled pork can lead our side dishes into the spotlight and let you all try more than one at once!

So let's talk about what we've got!

🧀☁️First, there's the smoked creamy mac and cheese. We don't buy smoked cheese, we buy blocks of cheese and smoke it ourselves. Then it's a long process of getting it nice and creamy with just enough subtle smoke flavor. We can't stand mushy Mac noodles so your cheese and your noodles will not touch each other until you order them at the window, that's a promise! I won't tell you everything else we put in it, but it's good!

🫘🥓🔥Next up we've got the beans! When we're doing the mac and cheese, there's a public outcry for the sweet and smoky baked beans, and understandably so! Packed with bacon and beef and all kinds of other flavors, it's a barbecue classic, but you haven't had them like this yet!

🍝🥗Third, on the list we've got Rocky's pasta salad! Now if you have hang-ups about pasta salad, that's okay. I'd love to give you a free sample though, because I used to fear it as well... until I found this recipe! Full disclosure, it is not my recipe. However, the first time I tried it 15 years ago, it made me an instant believer in pasta salad and I haven't changed a teaspoon of the recipe from the person that gave it to me. It was at a local watering hole, and I had to buy them a lot of drinks to get them to give up that information, but it was worth every penny!! 🤣 I did have to promise that I wouldn't change it if I told anyone it was their recipe, but there were no changes needed! It's chocked full of savory surprises with feta cheese and pepperonis tying it all together! 😋🤤 And while I personally enjoy onions and bell peppers, I know they are not popular across the board so rest assured that they are not in this pasta salad. Sometimes you just want a cold side on a hot day!

We are firing up and getting ready to serve! 🔥 Come on by the Butler Walmart tonight and grab something from tonight's menu, featuring our slow smoked pulled pork and tender brisket!🥩 We're also doing the legendary Carnivore Platter, loaded with three meats: Our legendary brisket, our famous pulled pork, and our melt in your mouth, savory pork belly bites! 🥓And for the perfect comfort fix, the side of the day is our creamy mac and cheese, which means we'll also have Mac and Cheese Bowls ready to be topped with the meat of your choice. We're firing up the smokers ☁️ and bringing the flavor 🔥 to you tonight, Wednesday, August 12th. We'll be at the Butler Walmart, also known as the DG! Come get your fix of slow-smoked pulled pork! 🍖
Barbie dogs, pork sandwiches, or pulled pork platters paired with our creamy smoked mac and cheese🧀---- And you know what mac and cheese means? It means we'll also have our BBQ mac and cheese bowls tonight! (As if deciding what to get wasn't hard enough!)
