It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share we lost a beloved member of our farm family late last week in a tragic accident on our farm. Jason Wallerich had been on our team since 2019, and he was exceptional. A true caretaker, he never took a short-cut to doing the right thing. "Much of our business story centers on the changes we haven’t made. We still raise our turkeys outdoors. We’ve been on the same farm for 87 years. Our partner farms and team have been with us for years. But we have made some changes along the way.

One very visible change you’ll see this season is our updated turkey label. After 18 years, we were due for a light refresh, and we even added a netted handle for easier handling. Turns out we’ve learned that turkeys can be cold and awkward to carry! You’ve likely noticed refreshed labels on our other products this year, and now our new turkey label finishes the project.⁠

It’s a joy to be a central part of a holiday that’s rooted in gratitude and tradition, and we’re thankful for all our customers who see the difference in how we continue to raise our Ferndale turkeys. That’s something that hasn’t changed.⁠
