We LOVE crockpot meals in this family! They are so quick and easy, and so delicious especially when using our quality meat here on the farm! Try this recipe out using our chuck roast! You can find it at our store located in centerville, OR you can purchase it for pickup or delivery at www.andys.farm! Be sure to tag us in your creations!

Ingredients
* 2 pounds Andy’s Farm beef chuck roast
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon black pepper
* 1 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1 teaspoon onion powder
* 2 cups beef broth
* 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
* 1 tablespoon soy sauce
* 4 hoagie rolls
* 4 slices provolone cheese optional
* Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Directions
* Pat the beef chuck roast dry with paper towels. Rub the roast with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
* In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the beef on all sides until browned (about 3-4 minutes per side). This step adds extra flavor but can be skipped for simplicity.
* Transfer the browned or unbrowned roast into the Crockpot.
* In a separate bowl, mix the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Pour this mixture over the beef in the Crockpot.
* Cover the Crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
* Once cooked, remove the roast from the Crockpot and let it rest for 5 minutes. Use two forks to shred the beef into bite-sized pieces.
* Place shredded beef back into the Crockpot to soak in the juices for a few minutes. Meanwhile, slice the hoagie rolls open and, if desired, melt provolone cheese on the rolls under the broiler for about 1-2 minutes.
* Fill each hoagie roll with the shredded beef and serve with a small bowl of au jus for dipping. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Let’s take a pause from our normal content for a second. We want to encourage all of you to take a moment out of your day or week, and watch this trilogy of documentaries on the regenerative agricultural movement. In order to understand the fundamental reasoning behind what we do, these films give a wonderful insight on what our mission is.

We not only want to offer nutrient-dense and healthy foods to our community, we want to completely reverse the effects that industrial agriculture has done to our land.

In regenerative farming, we are seeking to reverse the damage of climate change and bring our Earth back to her thriving state while keeping all of us healthy and fed. Ways you can help this movement, is through your dollar. When you support small regenerative farms like ours, you are helping us to create a larger movement of regenerative agriculture.

These three films perfectly encapsulate our mission, and we hope it motivates you to make even small changes in your life as an investment in a better future.

You can watch these films on Amazon Prime, and you can learn more about the movement at kisstheground.com

You can see all of these hidden gems by getting your own personal farm tour! We host tours every Saturday at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm where you can ride on a hayride throughout the pastures, get hands on experience with handling our animals, and learn all about the regenerative farming practices we do here. It is only $5 per person and kids under 5 get in for free! To book your farm tour today, go to our website www.andys.farm/farm-tours. Can't wait to show you all these hidden gems!

#5: This one is easy to find! It's a beautiful spot at the entrance of Andy's Farm as you come in. A creek that is perfect for a mid day toe dip to cool down on a hot summer day! This is the perfect spot that we use for our own family events and for guests to come and enjoy the mild creek air.

#4: You can't beat these views! The sunrise and sunset on these hilltops are what keep us going! There is nothing that tops the early mornings here where the birds are chirping, the sun is rising, and the sounds of the farm waking up.

#3: The perfect hub at our farm! This is where you find all of our products on display from meat, dairy, and eggs to homemade fiber art, yarn, and roving! You can get all of your protein products right here as we have beef, poultry, pork, lamb, and eggs!)

#2: This spot was hidden from us for the first couple of months! Upon moving here, we began exploring our property getting excited to start our forever farm. Going further in the woods, we found this gorgeous mini waterfall! It is perfect to come out on our side-by-side with a glass of whiskey or a bottle of wine and enjoy the sweet sounds of nature.)

#1: Of course, saving the best hidden (but not so hidden) gem for last, our wonderful family and staff! We couldn't get here without all the help from our support system. From long shifts of volunteering, being personal ambassadors, and even being loyal customers, we couldn't do it without them.
