Pleasant Garden Cemetery will require maintenance for years to come. Despite what this writer thinks about its overgrown condition, it's much better than we found 25 years ago. All credit goes to Ridgeside resident David Young! He singlehandedly made it possible to visit the grave of Ed Johnson.

It's a shame there is not a Missionary Ridge National Park or a service organization to clear brush on this historic site.

All the more reason NOT to build homes on the vacant land behind Ridgeside Pool. No descendants of those buried there love in the City of Ridgeside. So no one cares! But History will hold us all accountable.
