Today was Lavender's day! 💜🐄

Fenton's senior 3-year-old Ayrshire, Lavender, was named Supreme Champion of the 2026 Broome County Fair! She is truly Fenton's pride and joy, and we couldn't be prouder of these three and all the hard work, dedication, and countless hours they've put in over the years to reach this milestone.

This is our first Supreme Champion in nearly 25 years, making this win even more special!

The rest of our animals had an outstanding day as well, bringing home 5 first-place finishes and 1 second-place finish. Alaina was named Reserve Grand Guernsey, and congratulations to our niece on winning Grand Guernsey!

What an incredible day, and this year's fair has truly been one for the books.

A special thank you to Cornell Enterprise for sponsoring the Supreme Champion award!

Thank you to the Peila family for the daily care of Lavendar.

✨ What a banner day for these three! ✨

We couldn't be more proud of everything they accomplished in the 4-H and Open sheep show!

🏆 Anna
• Master Showman
• Reserve Champion Southdown
• Reserve Champion Market Lamb

🏆 Brycen
• Reserve Master Showman
• Grand Champion Suffolk Ewe
• Supreme Champion Ewe with his homebred Suffolk ewe
• Grand Champion Market Lamb

🏆 Fenton
• Grand Champion Hampshire
• Reserve Supreme Champion

This year also marked the first-ever Open Sheep Show at the fair, and these kids absolutely knocked it out of the park! The highlight of the day was Brycen's homebred Suffolk ewe being named Supreme Champion Ewe.

We're especially proud that every ewe we showed was homebred, and this Supreme Champion is the result of the AI breeding program we did last fall.

Congratulations to Anna, Brycen, and Fenton on an incredible day! ❤️🐑

If you're coming to the fair, be sure to stop by the 4-H Livestock Auction on Saturday at 4:00 PM, where all three of our market lambs will be selling. We appreciate everyone's support!
