We love videos and photos from customers. One of our favorite repeat customers couldn’t get enough so he shared with his friends and they bought 2 whole beeves and split them amongst each other. What really got me was a very subtle- “ It’s BEEF DAY, IT’s BEEF DAY!” Like a kid in a candy store😂 thanks again for the repeat business from our great customers in the area!

Have you ever tipped a cow?
Did you really? The answer is no, no you didn’t. You may think you did but it never happened.
Just like so many of us remember the monopoly man with a monocle, or Darth Vader saying “Luke I am your father” “cow tipping” is the Mandela effect.

This has been your fun farm fact of the day. Rest easy knowing none of our cows have been or will be tipped in the making of this post😂

Customers: your beef is the best we’ve ever had!

Others: Why’s beef so expensive?

The answer may surprise you. Take a look at the sheet below. I’d point out that the best 5-600 # steers are selling for $500 per hundred weight $5/ # that’s $2500-$3000 each!

So before feed, labor, equipment, hauling, vet bills some of these cattle are $3000 each. They all still need to gain at least 800 # before they’re sellable!

Now everyone’s cost of production is different but there isn’t much room for margin with pricing like this for a conventional cattle finisher, let alone a small producer that can’t operate with the benefit of economy of scale.

I show these numbers to be transparent and help our customers understand the condition of the cattle market today. Cattle herd numbers are lower than they were in the 1950’s with all time high demand for beef.

These prices may change, but likely wont change much in the next 1-3 years.

If you’ve read this far, check out the website and place your order today!

Just 27 miles northeast of Springfield, Illinois sits a town many people pass without ever knowing its story. Tucked 12 miles off Interstate 55 in Logan County, Mount Pulaski, Illinois is easy to overlook on a map. But in 2026, nobody is overlooking Mt. Pulaski. Founded in 1836 and named after Revol...
