In a global ranking earlier this year, Chicago landed in the top 10 for best food destinations around the world for 2026. Not only that, but our city is the highest ranked U.S. city on the list.

Part of the ranking considered social media buzz as well, and food posts with a Chicago location tag exceeded 1.6 million between Instagram and TikTok posts. The data shows Chicago as one of the most viral foodie destinations in the top 10.
