Our new friend Taelor Rynearson who owns Touch of Grace Photography snapped some GORGEOUS pictures of our babies while on a tour with her family. We are so thankful for these pictures AND for all of the amazing new friends we have gained this year. So much love to all of you!

Shearing season has arrived!

05/21/2026

I’m speaking this out into the universe in the hopes that it will come true. I am on a mission to find Leo’s original herd. I would really like to buy his mom or any of the other guanacos he was bonded with. I’ve scoured Facebook groups and reached out to multiple people for help. So far, no one has been able to point me in the right direction. One man has agreed to keep an eye out for guanacos at auctions for me which I greatly appreciate.

I’m going to keep reaching out to people to see if anyone knows anything about him.

Leo is a unique animal and someone HAS to know where he came from. How many BLIND, abnormally small guanacos (who spin in circles when they are nervous) exist in the US? *I’m thinking the answer is 1.*

The problem that I am pretty sure I am running into is that no one wants to admit to having owned Leo because of the awful shape he was in when he was rescued.

Here’s my promise to that person (just in case they read this):

My only goal is to give Leo his very best shot at life. Camelids don’t forget each other. They recognize their mamas after YEARS of separation. Leo struggles to fit in with the boys. They are getting closer every day but I know having one of his friends or family here would make him absolutely light up. I do not know how long Leo has on this earth. He may be here for 2 months or he may be here for 20 years. He has gone through so so much and he deserves to have the happiest life ever. I don’t know your situation and I can tell he was very well loved and cared for at one point. I will not call you out or judge you or tarnish your reputation. Just take my damn money ✨😂🫶🦙

I’ve seen so many people online talking about how large breed pigs are carnivorous monsters who will eat any small animals they can catch….meanwhile….I am having to contact the vet about rabies vaccines because the oinks have befriended TWO raccoons who they share their food with and let sleep in the barn with them 😂

Pigs are the sweetest animals. They are literally big puppies. Also, they are OMNIVORES. If they do choose to eat meat while grazing, they go for grubs, slugs, and other bugs.

****”Aggressive” pigs who eat anything and everything are pigs who are not fed enough by their humans****

Did you know that raccoons sound like screeching gremlins? Now you do.

Usually I am not nerdy about fiber because the girls and boys are our pets and we keep their fiber for personal use buuuuttttt WILL YOU LOOK AT THIS?! Leo’s fiber wasn’t in great shape because he was quite neglected BUT, even with all of that neglect, his fiber is still SO pretty. I’ve never seen guanaco fiber before so it is interesting to see the differences. I would say it looks more like alpaca fiber but it isn’t quite as dense and is a little less soft. Very, very pretty.

Leo was enthusiastic to get sheared today…and then the blades dulled about 1/3 of the way in. He was so sweet and patient. I can hardly believe this is the same little man who was throwing himself into walls a month ago. He is beyond precious.

I’ve spotted a raccoon in the pigs’ barn multiple times over the last few months. Last week, I noticed that the pigs were HANGING OUT with the raccoon. I thought this may be a one time situation; however, I just now found raccoon prints in garage barn 😳 So help me GOD if the pigs adopted a raccoon I’m going to be so……happy 😂 I just really love raccoons, okay?
