Can you find Rocky? Catherine S. says Rocky just found the tree :)
We use Global Pedigree for farm management with our Holland Lops and it sure makes life a lot easier. Working with a colony of rabbits keeps us learning the science of Biology. Can you say you know how to identify a phenotype, trace roots with a family history? thus write a genotype and eventually write a genome 🧬? Well you wont learn any of that here but you can keep excellent notes! Manage it here. LOL Join a Color Genetics group or 4 H. https://www.globalpedigree.com/index.php?page=index
“Here is a update on Boaz aka BoBo. He is such a sweetheart, we absolutely adore him! He is a free roam rabbit except at night. He loves the kids and loves the Christmas tree! 🎄 We are so thankful for this sweet boy! ❤️. His best friend is Tux the kitty 😺. Lol yes he plays with my other cat Bruiser also! 😂” - Jennifer JS
Dawn is Thankful for Banjo 🪕 🎶… “I don’t know if I ever told you but he is a free range bunny. We took away his cage since he’d hide when it was time to go in. Lol. He sleeps under our bed or on when he wants and goes where he wishes. We are so blessed that he only chews his toys and uses his litter box!” - Dawn W.

We breed and raise Holland Lops. Holland Lops are known as a hallmark breed. Our breeding season begins in April and our doe’s kindle around May 1 through October. We bring a couple doe’s indoors to kindle so we may have Bunnies available on the Christmas and Easter holidays. Our Holland Lops are both Vienna and non Vienna lines. We have solid, broken, harlequin and magpie patterns. We are currently breeding for tri patterns. New for us in the Rabbitry are the White Ear Vienna patterns. Our self colors are blue, black, chocolate. The other color varieties we have are otter, chestnut, torts, chinchilla and blue Sallander.
We promote the Holland Lop breed through our page by sharing photos, videos and stories of our current events in the Rabbitry. We abide by Facebook rules and community standards.

BMX Rotary Tattoo Pen & Pirate Face DC Power Supply from Amazon We just bought a new tattoo pen while shopping on Amazon. We have several rabbits of identical color. It’s time to tattoo and I’m trying this new set up. Check it out. No instructions came with it. Comments are welcomed.
BunnieBox sent us our July herd box and I‘ve been wanting to share a video of what its like to get a delivery when it arrives. These are really great. Our order is about $50 or more but its monthly and high end cool stuff for the buns. They have the best ideas!! If you like making things for your rabbit you will get great ideas here. I’ll probably have to take this down in a bit as I doubt I should be advertising copy written work without approval. Conner and Maverick get most of it LOL. The treats are eaten by every bun on the farm. So far every box has been different than the last and there is always a surprise.
Doki & Conner’s Litter 25 Days Old Now Dam: Mountain Brook Doki a blue eye VM black tort Holland Lop doe Sire: Rhatigan Farms Conner a Blue eyes VM sable Holland Lop buck I’ve been giving the dam booster since before she had her kits and now its time to only give pellets, hay and water. Miss Jennifer sent me some media of Mountain Brook Boaz (Bobo) a blue magpie Holland Lop buck and his transition into their home. The video’s are actually the very first night he was at their house. Looks like he found home. Bobo’s dam Gianna is currently bred to a REW as I suspect she has sable. I’m eager to find the results. Bobo is a grandson of Hop Alongs Alaskan Breeze (Koda) & Cranberry Trails Phoenix up in Kentucky. Bobo’s Sire and Dam are here at Mountain Brook Farm. Dam: Ears for Everyone Gianna a black magpie Holland Lop doe Sire: Hop Along’s Elias a VC black orange Harlequin Holland Lop buck
Libby & Shirotabi Litter Now 9 Days Old 5.02.22 Dam: Hop Alongs Libby a blue eye VM black otter Holland Lop doe Sire: Mountain Brook Shirotabi a VC chocolate sable chinchilla Holland Lop buck On 4.23.22 Libby kindled a litter of 5 Possible VM blue silver martin - 42HL1 VC harlequinized black otter - 42HL2 Possible VC chocolate self chinchilla or seal - 42HL3 Possible VC Lynx - 42HL4 Possible Chocolate Chestnut - 42HL5
Annabella & Dexter April 2022 Litter Now 3 Days Old What an exciting litter look at all the chocolate. We need more development before we can identify the colors. What colors do you see? Dam: PINK BUNNY VILLAGE ANNABELLA - BEW (Magpie) - Holland Lop doe Sire: Sire: SFR DEXTER - VC harlequinized chinchilla - Holland Lop buck
Libby & Shirotabi April 2022 Litter 3 Days Old Here is the full uncut litter inspection. Today is only the third day and we need more development before we know for sure what color the kits will be. Just for fun, today I’m leaning towards VM blue silver martin, harlequinized black otter, chocolate self chin, a frosted pearl and a chocolate silver martin. What colors do you see? The sire Mountain Brook Shirotabi is out of Shauna’s S’mores who is a chocolate magpie so that is where the harlequin gene is coming from. Dam: Hop Along’s Libby - part blue eyes VM black otter Holland Lop doe Sire: Mountain Brook Shirotabi a VC chocolate chinchilla Holland Lop buck
Hop Along’s Libby & Mountain Brook Shirotabi 4.23.22 Litter Do you see chocolate, black and chinchilla? I think all that is definitely going on here in this litter. Exciting! When I planned this breeding I was thinking silver martin!!! Libby has 5 kits. They are fat, the nest is clean and she pulled a lot of wool making her nest. All the kits are alive at birth and no need to clean or remove anything. Dam: Hop Along’s Libby a (part blue eyes) VM black otter Holland Lop doe Sire: Mountain Brook Shirotabi a VC chocolate chinchilla Holland Lop buck
ANNABELLA & DEXTER 4.23.22 KINDLE Annabella is a very tidy doe and consumes every blade of hay you give her regardless of how many pellets she has. The girl likes her hay so we constantly give it to her. She eats her pellets and supplement too . She had 7 kits! Hurray! The last litter she and Dexter had together the buns had the best temperament so I’m hoping this is a gene that they pass on and that we will see the same in this litter. Did I see chocolate while counting out those kits? We will follow up in a few days with another video so we may see color coming in and more development of the kit. Looking through the nest I see that its clean with no afterbirth to remove. Dam: Pink Bunny Village Annabella a BEW (magpie) Holland Lop doe Sire: SFR Dexter a harlequinized chinchilla Holland Lop buck
GIANNA & ELIAS MARCH LITTER NOW 22 DAYS OLD 4.15.22 Dam: Ears for Everyone Gianna - VC black magpie - Holland Lop doe Sire: Hop Along’s Elias - VC black orange Japanese - Holland Lop buck Mountain Brook 32S1 - possible VC black orange Japanese - Holland Lop (possibly buck) - 22 days old Mountain Brook 32S2 - possible VC blue magpie - Holland Lop (possibly buck) - 22 days old

BUBBLES AND JASPER LITTER NOW 18 DAYS OLD 4.09.22 The dam is Mountain Brook Bubbles a VC broken blue Holland Lop doe. The sire is Mountain Brook Jasper a chestnut (clean lines) Holland Lop buck. The video features their litter of 6 now at 18 days old. I looked at them under the light but they are so small. The sex is not confirmed at this age. (possible VC) Broken Chestnut - Holland Lop (possible buck) (possible VC) Broken Chestnut - Holland Lop (possible buck) (possible VC) Broken Blue Otter - Holland Lop (possible doe) (possible VC) Broken Orange - Holland Lop (possible buck) (possible VC) Blue Otter - Holland Lop (possible buck) (possible VC) Opal - Holland Lop (possible doe)
Mountain Brook 32T Now 19 Days Old I was able to get a good look and identify that he was a boy. Wether he is sable point, seal point or sallander remains to be determined through growth, development and test breeding so based on phenotype will go with Sable point for now.
MOUNTAIN BROOK BUBBLES AND JASPER LITTER 9 DAYS OLD 3.31.22 The dam is Mountain Brook Bubbles a VC blue Holland Lop doe. The sire is Mountain Brook Jasper a chestnut (clean lines) Holland Lop buck. This will be the second litter the sire and dam have had together. I thought the litter was developing the otter variety but it’s Agouti Chestnut. The chestnut, opal and broken orange are developing. The chestnut caught my eye in the sunlight today. Wow!
MOUNTAIN BROOK FLAVIA & BUNNY BOUQUET’S APPLE JACK LITTER 13 DAYS OLD 4.04.22 The dam is Mountain Brook Flavia a possible VC opal Holland Lop doe. The sire is Bunny Bouquet’s Apple Jack a BEW (Sable) Holland Lop buck. Flavia has instinctively shown care and protection over her litter. We pick Flavia up and hold her when handling her kits and moving her buns, or we cage her, its more often we just hold her so we can clean her cage, feed pellets and give hay. This is Flavia’s first litter.
I think its safe to say that Bubbles is Blue Otter because every kit in the litter of 6 were otter. Yay!
MOUNTAIN BROOK DOKI & NEELEY CREEK’S KINGSLEY 3.31.22 VLOG The litter is now 8 days old and already climbing out of the nest box. This is the first litter for both Kingsley and Doki. I suspect that Kingsley is Cream because we really have a nice litter of torts and a chestnut too. The Whole litter has white markings but until they open their eyes we wont know whose are blue.
EARS FOR EVERYONE GIANNA & HOP ALONG’S ELIAS - MARCH 2022 LITTER These little bunny cubs are going to be stout. Looks like we have a black Japanese and a Magpie. Gianna must be a magpie or Elias because there is a chin gene. KODA is Hop Along’s Elias sire. Research the pedigrees. I need to find a photo of Cranberry Trails Phoenix to compare to this one as it grows up. Hmmmm…. Lol
SFR Dexter a possible VC harlequinized chinchilla Holland Lop buck Dexter is 1 yr 7 mos old now and has proven to be a buck that throws outstanding calm, friendly and gentle temperament. Something really clicks when he is bred to Pink Bunny Village Annabella when it comes to producing super chill Holland Lops. Dam - Meadows Cocoa Ryder Sire - Hop Alongs Corbin
Mountain Brook Whistle Pop a blue otter (from clean lines) Holland Lop buck. Whistle Pop’s dam is Silver Thornes Purple Rain a blue sallander Holland Lop doe. His sire is UR Torbay a blue otter Holland Lop buck from the Underground Rabbitry. Whistle Pop embodies Mountain Brook Clean Lines breeding and this year we will be breeding to expand in this area. We also have his full brother from the same litter Mountain Brook Razzles a blue Holland Lop buck.
Bunny Bouquet Apple Jack a BEW Holland Lop buck now 1 yr 6 mos 1 day Apple Jack is the first Blue Eyed White rabbit we ever owned and I’m proud to say his breeder has been on global pedigree and claimed him as well as uploading photos. Dam - Blue Hollows Belle Sire - Bunny Bouquet’s Tink I’ll send out updated pedigrees to everyone that has Apple Jack babies. If you log onto Globalpedigree you can get the info as well. It has been updated.
Mountain Brook Rabbitry was founded in the spring of 2017 for the sole purpose to obtain a rich cold source of compost manure. Mountain Brook Farm is a small homestead owned by Jon Thieman and co-managed by Wade Boelter. We are located on Lookout Mountain in Collinsville, AL. Our orchard of 200 Blueberry shrubs and our garden fresh produce require a constant need for compost.
Wade Boelter had Dutch rabbits as a child and received his first ribbon award at a small town County fair in Garden City, MN. Now in his mid to late 40’s he has rekindled the spirit of his youth once again with the Dutch and Holland Lop breeds; “If you had a pet rabbit as a child, I recommend you revisit the hobby as an adult.... It’s so rewarding.”
Are you interested in visiting our rabbitry? Please email, private message or call Wade to schedule an appointment. Mountain Brook Rabbitry is interested in working with educational and therapeutic organizations. If you are a teacher, clinician or therapist please contact us about hosting your group.
