A month shy of a year old, Aneas got to go out with the girls today! It was a bit overwhelming and intimidating for him. The other heifers were way too excited to see him. We decided the horse pasture was a nicer place to stay calm and relaxed so he can continue to explore the outside world.
Aneas is the last surviving son of our late Aphrodite, who we lost almost a year ago. We chose to keep him a bull so her legacy could live on. With that said, I was very careful about how I raised him and it clearly shows. He let me halter him, walk him across the farm and turn him out. When I walked away from the pasture he went through it to follow me back to the barn, where I was able to walk up to him, halter him and walk him around. On my hip, like his mom and dad. Thank you to the Benz family for his amazing sire.
