We're a produce and (u-pick) flower farm,
located 15 mins north of Lima on SR 65. Flower u-pick season is August-September. Event/wedding florals.

Chemical-free, following organic practices. Self-Service Shop Hours:

The morning's markets were a little slower due to rainfall ☔️ and we've got bouquets left.
Which means we've got plenty of locally-grown, fresh flowers for your weekend!

Good morning everyone! We are so pleased to announce that we now carry Leicester Hollow Maple Works pure maple syrup!

🍁 They are a small, family-run maple sugaring business, located in VT, but with distributions in Ohio - specifically, NW Ohio!

Nate and Krista live in the Ottawa area, but Vermont is Nate's home state, and he continues to help operate his family business back home. You might have seen them at the Ottawa and/or Lima farmer's markets. Come check them out! We have a variety of sizes, and they've also got Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup!!

In addition, we've had a drop-off from Rhodes Family Farm! Cinnamon rolls, sourdough breads, oatmeal cream pies, muffins, and more!

We also plan to have fresh-cut bouquets available today in the Shop.🤞

In addition, today is the first Ottawa Farmers Market from 5-7 in the VFW parking lot in downtown Ottawa! Come see us there, it's going to be a beautiful market day ☀

💐🌻 Florals with Friends @ WVF

Who: you and your besties / buddies / gal pals
What: build your own bouquet / flower arranging workshop
Where: the Barn at WVF
When: 6/18, 6/28, 7/12, and 7/30 (so far)

We're offering you a chance to come spend some time in our historic barn, surrounded by fresh-cut, local flowers from our farm. This will be an intimate and relaxed experience, where you can chat, arrange, and scratch that creative itch. And we'll clean up the mess! 😉

We are offering Thursday evening classes 6:30p-8:30p, as well as Sunday afternoons 2p-4p - you've got options!

Addie will talk you through the basics of arranging, and all materials are provided. She'll also be available to answer your questions, during the workshop. One-on-one instruction!

Flower varieties provided will be based on what's blooming & in-season at the time of the class. Planned vase is a classic, glass mason jar - the perfect beginner-friendly vessel to let your local flowers shine.

Cost is $50, and includes all materials and floral instruction.

Spaces are limited, tickets are available on our website (posted in the comments below..the 'book throttles our posts when we include our website in the post.)

Come enjoy our locally-grown flowers on the farm! We can't wait to have you 😊

A couple mid-week restocks in our farm Shop 🤗

We've got fresh bouquets with glorious peonies and yes - sunnies 🌻 available from our farm!
We're always experimenting and pushing the boundaries a bit with our growing season(s) here @ WVF, and in this case, it paid off! We started these sunflowers from seed, under hoop house back in March, and they've survived the cold spring dips, and are blooming for us already!

And Miss Mel's Bakery delivered some beautiful and tasty 3-packs and singles for you fancy French macaron lovers! 🇫🇷

🍓 Strawberry update: we are reaching the end of our strawberry season. We are utterly overwhelmed by your support with this crop! Thank you to everyone who purchased, messaged, called, and reached out asking if we had strawberries. We may get one or two more big flushes, so keep an eye out - but all good things must come to an end. They are, of course, grown chemical-free and following organic practices.

Farmstand trail is today, from 9-12!! Bouquets and salad mix are restocked, we've got plenty of Rhodes Family Farm sourdough and other goodies available, and Frog Town Honey just restocked local honey as well! Not to mention all our other wonderful vendors & their products :)

🙂 Two important PSA messages from WVF, before we head into the weekend:

Message #1: For our BOUQUET SUBSCRIBERS - If you have signed up for our Spring Bouquet Subscription and are NOT receiving emails from us, please check your spam! We have the feeling some of our emails are not getting through, and we want to keep you in the loop ( / send reminder emails if you've forgotten to snag your flowers this week) 💐

Message #2: FOR EVERYONE - The Local Farmstand Trail is tomorrow, 5/23, from 9-noon. All are welcome to participate!! We think this is such a great idea 🤗 Come meet your community!

The first 30 people to each farm stand will get a free gift! From us, you'll receive a handmade lavender sachet, using our WVF-grown lavender. Stick yours in a drawer or closet, and it'll smell great. Make a purchase from each farm stand, and you'll get a stamp to be entered to win a large gift basket!

The farm stands should all have these forms for you to pick up when you begin, so you can get your stamps! We have plenty of forms, if you start with us.

Come see us tomorrow, we can't wait to see/meet you!

Eduardo will also be at the Bluffton Farmers Market - Ohio, but his booth will *not* count as a stand visit - sorry, you've gotta come see Addie at the farm Shop! But of course, you can always stop by and say 'hi' to Eduardo while you're at the market ;)

💐At long last - the flowers are here!! We have been waiting and waiting, and our hoophouse-grown flowers are finally coming on in full force. So we have two sizes of grab-n-go bouquets available, with peonies and lilacs!

🍓🥗 We also have a fridge full of strawberries for you to take home and enjoy! And plenty of salad mix in the fridge as well.

🍞 Rhodes Family Farm has dropped off a few mid-week goodies for us as well - it's a great day to stop by the Shop and see what we have to offer!

And don't worry, the air's on in there, if you're like us and struggling to acclimate to the giant jump in temperature we're experiencing... Ohio weather, eh?

All our flowers and produce are grown following chemical-free and organic practices, so you can rest easy - and be extra proud of purchasing locally and sustainably. We are so grateful for all the continued support you folks show us, and our vendors. You are a daily reminder for us of how good people are, and we are grateful to you.

It's the weekend, and we've got strawberries restocked in the Shop fridge! 🍓
