The genpop flock is getting new digs!! I can’t move them in until it’s much cooler outside, but I’m so excited {they could care less}.

Backstory: in Dec 2024, we were hit by a tornado out of the blue. No warning. In an area that has never had a tornado near us. It completely demolished my coops and did a number on my tractors. I lost so many animals. It was devastating. Luckily, our home sustained only minor damage. We were able to put something in place for the main coop by using panels that didn’t get mangled from all the coops to piece-meal them together with the nuts/bolts we could find and zip ties where we couldn’t. To say this thing is an eyesore is an understatement. But, it’s been working. The tarps over it are finally starting to deteriorate, so it’s def in its last season. I could just replace the tarps, but it’s so ….ugly. No two sides are the same size. The roof is a couple boards with lattice laying across it and a tarp over that. It’s bad. It leaks in the rain. Thank goodness it’s been relatively dry. I’m literally jumping for joy about their new coop.

Now, just need it to cool down so i can coop train them to it. This will be the perfect chance to deworm everyone also. They will love it. 😉😆

Love seeing successful hatches!🥰 Just look at that cutie!

Hatched some cuties from some beautiful speckled Welsummer eggs from JillyBeans Rainbow ✨ I had intended on putting them all under my ICB but am thinking I may combine these with my Clutch of Color LLC hatch & do a welsummer pen. Maybe?!
