Y’all, we’ve hit 💫1k💫
I wasn’t really even trying. But we’ll go ahead and celebrate, because, why not?!🥳
I’ll gift-away a dozen hens choice rainbow eggs (because that’s what I’m getting right now); 🚢 included except to AK, HI or INT.
It’ll be easy to enter:
🌈 like this post
🌈tag a chicken bestie (one entry per tag)
🌈get an extra entry if you’ve purchased eggs from me and you leave a review
That’s it!
I’ll draw on Sunday evening (10/17)*. Maybe we’ll get to 2k and i can do something fun again. 😆
*i will do it live if my ancient computer will allow it. If not, i will post a screen capture of my wheel from my phone.

Natasha, thank you for the kind words! I love to get you guys great eggs and especially love when you have great hatches! 💛

Miss JillyBeans Rainbow made my entire year! I’ve been trying to get big Dino speckled welsummers like this all year. I bought a half dozen from her and she was kind enough to send an extra Dino egg and they both hatched! 1 is a cockerel and the other a pullet. I am so happy!!! I am going to put this cockerel over my whole Welsummer program for 2027. He came from a fairly large egg and the perfect speckles and light shell base. Highly recommend this breeder as hatch rate on all was excellent, she’s got beautiful eggs, and she is super nice to boot! 🤍🤌🏻✨

🏆🥚✨ THE 2026 GOLDEN EGG AWARDS ✨🥚🏆

🐓💛 THE BREEDER’S BREEDER AWARD! 💛🐓

Because the best breeders don’t just raise beautiful birds. They lift up other breeders, too! ❤️

There’s something I’ve come to appreciate so much about this chicken community.

It’s full of people who work incredibly hard to raise beautiful birds, develop their breeding programs, and build something they’re proud of.

And while everyone wants to see their own farm succeed, there’s something especially wonderful about the breeders who are just as excited to see SOMEONE ELSE’S farm succeed.

You know the kind of person I’m talking about.

The breeder who cheers for other breeders.

Who supports their offerings.

Who celebrates their wins.

Who understands that another farm’s success doesn’t take anything away from their own.

A BREEDER’S BREEDER! 🐣❤️

And this year, I couldn’t narrow that spirit down to just one recipient.

So for the first time, we’re recognizing TWO breeders who demonstrated what it means to support this community from BOTH sides of the fundraiser!

Let’s meet our first recipient!

This breeder generously offered her own hatching eggs for auction, and that auction closed at $250! 🥚🎉

But she didn’t stop there.

She turned around and purchased 15 stickers across our sticker donation sales, supporting other participating breeders and helping raise even more money for our local FFA chapter!

And as luck would have it…

SHE EVEN WON THE WHEEL SPIN FOR FARMSTEAD PROVISIONS! 🎡😂

Apparently, supporting other breeders sometimes comes with a little extra chicken math!

But here’s what I love most.

She didn’t just put her own eggs out there and hope the community would show up for her.

SHE SHOWED UP FOR THE COMMUNITY, TOO. ❤️

She gave others the same encouragement and support that every breeder hopes to receive.

And THAT is exactly what this award is meant to celebrate.

So without further ado…

🥁🥁🥁

🏆🥚 THE FIRST 2026 BREEDER’S BREEDER GOLDEN EGG AWARD GOES TO…

🌈💛 JILLYBEANS RAINBOW! 💛🌈

Thank you for contributing your beautiful eggs, for supporting your fellow breeders through the sticker sales, and for helping make this fundraiser benefiting our local FFA chapter such a wonderful example of what a community can accomplish together.

You reminded us that there’s room for EVERYONE to grow, succeed, and shine.

Because the best kind of breeder isn’t just someone who produces beautiful birds.

IT’S SOMEONE WHO HELPS THE WHOLE FLOCK FLOURISH! 🐓❤️

Congratulations, JillyBeans Rainbow!

You’ve officially earned your Golden Egg! 🏆🥚✨

And stay tuned, because we have ONE MORE BREEDER’S BREEDER to celebrate! 👀💛

Is it fall yet? I hear/see folks talking about near freezing temps already and we are still in the 90’s. 🫠
I’m ready for some cooler weather already.
What is the temp where you’re at?
