The Chias are growing fast 🥹 They've been a fun bunch, and I'm so pleased with how consistent they are as a group. Theyre a bunch of foodies that love to tug and love people, and they have me laughing even when I'm exhausted. They've gotten their first vaccine, and will get microchipped next week. They will be leaving so soon, and I will miss them terribly 🥹❤️
Thanks to for puppy wrestling!

Formerly introducing the Chias ❤️
The Chia's (Chev x Fia) turn 4 weeks old today and while they've dominated my stories, I haven't had the time to stop and get their photos! They're such a happy group of puppies and I've soaked up spending time with them as much as I can. They grow up so fast; it's crazy to think that in a few more weeks they'll be leaving for their new homes 🥹❤️ They're starting to develop and show off their personalities... it's definitely my favorite stage of puppy ❤️
Thanks to for helping puppy wrangle!

Happy Easter from the newest member of the farm!
Introducing Happy Valley's Find Your Fizz ("Croix")! This little guy is a long haired chihuahua, and has fit in like he was born here. He loves everyone he meets, and has more handler focus and tug drive then some border collie puppies I've raised! I've wanted a teeny dog for years, and he's all that I asked for and more. I can't wait to try out some sports (already ordered teeny antlers for shed hunting!), but for now he just gets to have fun ❤️

The young dogs got to work in a new place while I was out in OK last week, and I got some help and advice working my crew. I have a lot of homework, but always grateful when I come home and training makes a little more sense than it did just a week ago. If you're training and you're NOT uncomfortable, you're not learning--so while it's frustrating to realize I've been doing something wrong for a while, I'm at least on the other side of it! Sometimes dogs learn the right thing in spite of us, but I have a few dogs (and good friends) who are keeping me accountable.
Spring trials are fast approaching, and while the young dogs will not be quite ready to join, I'm excited to get the older dogs back on the trial field. We need some fine tuning, but I've been picking away at it throughout the winter. Can't wait!

I never thought I'd say I miss the cold!
While we left TN with 20 degree weather, I'm out in Oklahoma after picking up SoElm Linen from . It was 80 degrees yesterday, and we all melted!

Since my dogs are raised inside and often compete in other sports, my time is always stretched thin and I honestly could not do this without the help of good, talented friends who've taken some pups for me. , .collies , -- I can't thank you enough for giving these pups so many good experiences and training time. ❤️❤️

Hopefully Chev x Fia pups on the way 🥹
I'm excited for these future little rockstars (rat stars? 🤣) and had a successful breeding today. I've been waiting for this breeding for a long time, and fingers crossed we'll be seeing some pups on ultrasound in a few weeks! 🥹❤️ I'll have a better idea then if I'll have any room on the waitlist.

BCT Luca ❤️
Impromptu snow day--while the minivan was stuck in the driveway, the dogs enjoyed the day to the fullest. This little guy has been such a good puppy ❤️ The Texas bred boy had a blast in the snow, as did the adults! I got a few dogs worked (and I only fell once 🫠). It's about this time of year that I'm ready for spring 🫠🤣

Chev and Fia have been taking a bit of a back seat as I've been working the young dogs. They've been good helpers (grouping up runaways if the young dogs lose them, shedding out new groups, etc) and get short training sessions, but winter is dedicated to the young ones!
Rio (Jolene x Mac) has been coming along well. He doesn't naturally give a lot of width or lift his shoulders, but so far he has a good sense to keep his sheep together and is trying hard to do what I ask ❤️ he's learning to give his sheep some space and we'll add in some driving soon! I really like how level headed he can be, and its a very different type of dog than I'm used to working.

Happy Birthday to Juneau!
I missed posting on her birthday, but Juneau turned 10 this year. At our last NASDA trial in December, the judge asked how old she was. "10," I answered.
"Months?"
🤣 That sums Juneau up! She's still raising hell and running the house the way only she knows how ❤️ Here's to many more, Junie-B. ❤️

BCT Luca!
I welcomed this sweet little guy to the farm this week and I'm enamored already! His pedigree goes back to some greats with Llangwm Cap, Llangwm Bud, Aled Owen's Bob and Roy, P. William's Sweep just to name a few, and some fun cattle/sheepdog lines on the dam's side. He's already a little foodie and loves the toys ❤️ I had to say goodbye to a few of the young dogs over the last few weeks as I decided who made the cut, which opened up a sliver of space for this cutie. Did I need another boy? 🤣 No, but I couldn't say no to this guy 🥹
Thanks to for bringing him home to TN (along with his littermate 😅😁)!

Goodbye 2025 -- and on 2026 ❤️
While there were definitely some lower moments, overall 2025 was a year of growth, a year of trying things, and a year of hustling to hit some of my goals. Me and Chev won two open USBCHA trials this year, me and Chev qualified for our first double lift finals, Chev got his Shed Hunt Level 3 title (and the 4th border collie in NASDA to earn that title!), me and Fia made it to the pen at Meeker and qualified for a driving championship, I raised and placed some well-rounded, fun puppies, moved dogs that weren't for my program and brought in some that I'm really excited about. I've spent more hours than I care to count driving, got to spend time with friends near and far and make new ones, and saw beautiful places with a good group of dogs.
It's been a lot of work, and I know I've missed a lot of sleep this year, but I'm focusing on the good and growing from there. I'll be going in to 2026 with Chev, Fia, Rio, Hawk, and Robbie as my working team (for now--still making tweaks to it, as my goal is to have 2 nursery dogs!), and excited for them as well as some new prospects that will come (Chev x Fia pups, Jolene puppies with an outside stud ❤️, and I'm sure others!).
As Robbie is the photo to end the year, I'm super excited about this impulse puppy that I bought. There was something about the bat-earred runt left from her litter and I went for it, and she's been a blast--an awesome disc dog, awesome scentwork dog, and is going to be a really cool little sheepdog. I'm so excited to keep watching her excel, and can't wait to see her 2026 accomplishments! ❤️
