Goodbye 2025 -- and on 2026 ❤️
While there were definitely some lower moments, overall 2025 was a year of growth, a year of trying things, and a year of hustling to hit some of my goals. Me and Chev won two open USBCHA trials this year, me and Chev qualified for our first double lift finals, Chev got his Shed Hunt Level 3 title (and the 4th border collie in NASDA to earn that title!), me and Fia made it to the pen at Meeker and qualified for a driving championship, I raised and placed some well-rounded, fun puppies, moved dogs that weren't for my program and brought in some that I'm really excited about. I've spent more hours than I care to count driving, got to spend time with friends near and far and make new ones, and saw beautiful places with a good group of dogs.
It's been a lot of work, and I know I've missed a lot of sleep this year, but I'm focusing on the good and growing from there. I'll be going in to 2026 with Chev, Fia, Rio, Hawk, and Robbie as my working team (for now--still making tweaks to it, as my goal is to have 2 nursery dogs!), and excited for them as well as some new prospects that will come (Chev x Fia pups, Jolene puppies with an outside stud ❤️, and I'm sure others!).
As Robbie is the photo to end the year, I'm super excited about this impulse puppy that I bought. There was something about the bat-earred runt left from her litter and I went for it, and she's been a blast--an awesome disc dog, awesome scentwork dog, and is going to be a really cool little sheepdog. I'm so excited to keep watching her excel, and can't wait to see her 2026 accomplishments! ❤️
