In the spring of 2012 my wife, Lori Shields and I had the great honor of meeting Gloria Steinem. We were in a line to get a photograph with her when the photographer took a break. She invited us to join her while we waited for the photographer took return and take our picture. She was gracious, humble, funny and kind. Our conversation wondered and the biggest take away for me was her counsel that every word and action has the potential to lift up or to harm another and to move through life true to yourself and with intention. Rest in power Ms. Steinem.
