The wind is blowing, it’s hot and we’re under another red flag warning. So I took the time to watch GROUNDSWELL! I encourage you to watch it!!! What’s your take away? The film made me reflect that our slow but steady steps into regeneration on Larson Farms is a must! The new trees and gardens are small but they’re mighty and will prevail. The multi species have already greatly improved the pastures, inviting birds and insects. We will continue feeding whole grains and grasses producing nutrient rich food without corn and soy fillers. Please visit GROUNDSWELL!

The “Farm Manager” has 1 doeling and 1 buckling born 2.23.26 looking for other pastures. Mama produced a huge bag and fed not only her triplets but also us! Very social and cuddly. They are Nigerian Dwarf x Alpine.

Found Mrs. Puffington doing grocery inventory as I make trips from the car; she commented that she’s above her whole grain diet since she’s back to laying her “Golden Eggs”!

Happy New Year!!! Do you make resolutions? I don’t… I make obsessions. Last year’s was to have a less dusty coop. I tried many products with the goal of natural byproducts. All were disappointing. But last week the farm manager and I came across THIS!!! It’s used coffee grounds. Pros: zero dust, chickens roll around in it and the coop smells heavenly. Con: kinda pricey but maybe I can make my own. Hmmm
