We have a little *Joy* on the farm! This small but well put together heifer was born last Sunday (May 17) out of Jolene! Being our first heifer of the year, and since last year Jolene had some calving complications, we are thrilled to have this healthy calf and all her personality here with us!

If you drive past the farm, you may get a small peak of the herd, as a third of them were moved across 539 into one of the fields closest to the road earlier today!

As always, please do not be distracted, slow down, stop, or pull onto the property to get a better look. Always drive safely and pay attention to the road, and not these beautiful animals!

This perfectly marked, red tipped bull calf was born on Thursday, May 14 out of Reba! Roger is strong and spunky just like his mother!

Reba is our only red tipped cow unlike the rest of our traditionally marked black tipped herd. Her color certainly brings something fun and a good educational conversation starter to our farm.

Steven doesn’t love the red, Renee wants more. Lucky for Steven, after owning Reba for 4 years, we’ve never gotten a heifer from her to help grow the red tipped line. BUT she has always given us some of the nicest, biggest bull calves, so really it’s a win for everyone!

The herd might hide from the rain 🌧️ but we are all thankful for it to keep the pastures growing!

Calving season 2026 has officially begun! In the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 6, Panda (Marble) calved a big, healthy bull calf! Welcome to the herd, Poe!

Panda is a first year heifer, and proudly known for her appearances at community events, church nativity scenes, and the local flea market photo booth. And it seems she loves motherhood just as much as she loves being out in public!

Panda is currently off of the farm and under the loving care of Sophia & Jacob. This first time calving has been an excellent and successful experience for all of them, and we are thankful for Sophia’s attentive and affectionate care for these animals!

What a difference 5 years makes! 🤩Molly has grown into one of the largest cows in our herd, and is a great calf producer with ideal maternal instincts! Although her slightly mis-marked ears are not ideal for the breed standard, she is incredibly cute (and those ears are practically photocopied onto her calves)!

Molly will likely be one of our first cows in the herd to calve this year!

We are so excited to share our latest and greatest expansion!! We recently purchased the property that our cattle herd have been happily living on the past few years, and are now also facilitating an equine boarding, breeding, foaling, and turnout operation! This farm has been in Steven’s family for many years, and we are thrilled to be continuing the legacy of providing outstanding care to horses and doing our part to keep the racehorse industry alive in NJ.

Don’t worry - the cattle are still, and will always be, apart of our operation during this next chapter of our lives!

Patiently waiting for calving season to start, and crossing our fingers that this week’s sneak peak of spring means we won’t be calving in sub-freezing temperatures this year! 🤞🏻
