So, I re-powered my friends Colman big wheeled mini bike with a new-ish ,210 going from a 196......what a difference.....the other engine was leaking oil like crazy, because the person that took the governor off didn't know what they were doing, and did it completely wrong....now, it's back up and running, and is a beast with a new engine........Mitis.shop

So, once again, as usual every season, I have to keep reminding people....don't keep gas in your equipment unless you intend to use it within a month...if you have a lawn tractor, pull the battery in the fall, keep it in a warm place...heated garage, basement....( away from the water-heater ).....trickle charge it every couple weeks....Generators....same thing, except keep FRESH fuel in it, and run it once a week, under a load....pressure washers, drain the gas when not in use, blow all the water out of the pump....DO NOT run it for 25 to 30 seconds without using the wand....the pump will over heat, and melt the plastic valves, and the main pump seal.....then it will leak all the oil out of the pump, and won't build pressure.....just worked on one tonight, valves were melted, and main seal was shot...so, the water pump is junk now.....and it's only a year old....and I know exactly how it happened... so now it's just an engine on a cart.....

Uhmm.... had plans to shut everything down because of the wifes cancer diagnosis....I was not in a good mental state last night, just wanted to walk away, but then started thinking.....this is what she helped me to build....and is part of.....so I need to man up and carry on....it's just really tough right now.....

Uhmm......with deep regret, I have to say that I'm shutting the business down.....I will not have the time to tend to customers needs, plus take care of my wifes, and maintain the house.....been a decent run, met a lot of great people.... built a decent customer base, but things have changed, and now my focus is all on the love of my life, and taking care of her thru this cancer journey.....I hope you all understand......Thanks to you all for helping to make this happen....my website will also be shutting down, and my business number will be disconnected...... it pains me, but I have bigger priorities right now....MY WIFE......

Something to keep in mind....and I know better....my log splitter has a basically new engine, probably less than 3hrs....ran fine last fall....sat in the shed, just tried to fire it up.....nope....wouldn't fire on it's own without starting fluid help, when it did, smelled like bad gas...stunk, and won't stay running....so....the fresh gas I put in last fall already turned to s**t, and now have to pull the carb and clean.....DO NOT leave gas in ANY of your lawn equipment, pressure washers, mowers, tractors, generators for more than 30 days.....And I know better.....still did it any way tho....and DO NOT use the snake oil " fuel stabilizers " because they don't work and all failed real world tests....and some can actually cause more harm than help....... drain the fuel tank, and run it out of gas.....spray some WD 40 in the carb throat, pull it a few times, and you'll be good for the next season...The WD40 will keep the seals and O-rings lubed so they don't dry out and crack...and, the first next season start up, use 2 stroke gas it l***s the cylinder, and the valve train....you don't have to fill the tank.....just enough to run it for a few.....then put fresh gas in.....as I said, I know better, and failed to follow my own advice....I may learn eventually.....

Customer brought this in today, said it ran fine, then just died and wouldn't restart.....can't imagine why, air filter is completely plugged....
