I am not chasing Oregon Chardonnays around, but when they are as good as the one made by the Ford Family, I can just cannot say no. Illahe, truly family owned and operated, sustainable and simply beautiful. And because they do not advertise in fancy magazines, you only pay for what's in the bottle. At $23 it is unbelievable but true and only at G&L.

Great debrief on the state of Europe over an espresso with Volker Bartling from Borgholzhausen. We had our own private G2 at G&L today. Miles apart, but definitely on the same level. Volker was a student at CHS during the 1984-85 school year and came by to visit Cullman and his classmates after a 10-year lapse. He had so much fun this week, he said he would be back for Oktoberfest or Christkindlmarkt at the latest! 🇩🇪 🇺🇸 🇫🇷

A very French family dinner with a very French wine! Chateau Bellevue 2020, a Bordeaux/Cotes de Castillon that makes me proud of my ancestors. At $23 it is almost an insult to Celine Lydoire, the daughter now in charge of the Lydoire family vineyard. Hurry up, after last night I am thinking about keeping it for myself or giving it a higher price tag to match its outstanding quality. 🍷🇫🇷
