I’ve been putting this post off but since today is national I love horses day….

Our Quarter Horse, Grandma Hazel, our first animal on the ranch, at 36 years old, passed away peacefully in her favorite spot on the hill Friday late afternoon.

We’re all still so sad and her herd is trying to figure out a new normal but what a horse she was!! The most patient yet so dominant critter on the ranch! She always did things her way! From making sure every visitor pet her to keeping a watch over all the animals and the traffic to ensuring the bottom fence was always broken so Alfred could continue his reign of backyard donkey.

Where there is love, there is loss. 🥰
