This Memorial Day weekend, we’re also honoring Jeffery Hobbs’ Paternal Grandfather...a WWII Veteran remembered not only for his service, but for the kind of man he was long after he came home.⁠

Again and again, the words people used were "gentleman, helpful, respected, warm, and kind". Friends remembered him as someone who made people feel welcome, celebrated life’s milestones with them, and left a lasting impact on his community.⁠

Behind every uniform is a person, a family. A life lived after the war, continuing to shape the people around them for generations.⁠
⁠
Today, we remember him, the men he served beside, and all those being honored by families across the country.⁠
⁠

Today’s post honors his Maternal Grandfather, Lt. Col. George Carver Kimmel, whose military service spanned decades, from WWII to Korea and beyond. A life rooted in leadership, discipline, and service to this country.⁠

Stay tuned, as we’ll also be honoring Jeffery’s Paternal Grandfather. We’re so grateful for those who served, those we’ve lost, and the legacies they left behind.⁠
