🌢️ πŸ”₯ Every pepper I try is hot, in case I ever down play it let’s just get that out the way. The black cobra pepper has a heat that hits you immediately and burns in the back of your throat. I first noticed the flavor and within a millisecond it was heat from there, so there’s that. The heat lingers, so there’s also that. Ideal flavor, let its presence be known type of heat.

The beauty of this Ragnarok pepper has yet to cease to amaze πŸ–€πŸ’šπŸ§‘πŸ˜ From the black foliage to the deep reddish black pods that transition into orange with green accents this pepper flexes in its own lane.

Happy Feast of Booths! πŸŽ‰ What a beautiful day for the last day of the Tillamook Farmer’s Market β˜€οΈ. The pepper sauce sold out within a couple hours, but we still have 2 extremely flavorful salsa products and garden jewelry that shines bright from the sunlight (and from your sunlight within).

Cuban Oregano 🌿 is a semi-succulent that more people should know about. This is what I add to my salsa! My wife made an oil using this in Texas and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I have an entire section of my garden dedicated to dark foliage πŸ–€ πŸ’œ

My most recent addition includes the AC Hwy 61 Dahlia that I got from Honeybee Gardens - Tillamook which presents with deep, dark maroon leaves, with a beautiful contrast to its red and white petals. Other attractions include one of my favorite flowers, the Indian Blanket Sunflower, planted for me by Sow Reap Gal, which is our slice of Texas here on the Oregon Coast, after K O would harvest them growing in the wild in Dallas. I also added my favorite flower, allysum, growing purple offset with the white. Some are even represented through dark stems or vegetables, like red onions.

Pictured is what is still in season here in mid September.
