We have a load going to Billings Montana that has the ability to haul 6 windbreaks on it. Windbreaks would be roughly $1550 to that area for all 6. Message me for exacts. Looking to ship in the next 2-3 weeks.

Well I believe this takes a lot to admit the following so take it for what it’s worth…..

If you think I have forgotten about your order, chances are high I have. I absolutely despise when someone says they are too busy, it’s just a poor excuse as we are all busy, so that’s not my position, I just simply forgot. As many of you that order know, I ask you to text or message me the details of your order because typically I am doing farm work while talking to you. For those that don’t know, we farm about 3,000 acres and have roughly 400 cows between the fall and spring herd. My father is great at doing little tasks and the finances, but he is horrible at running or fixing equipment. He will be the first to tell you that, plus he is getting older. Naturally, More of the operation is falling on my shoulders and this business has gotten far larger than I ever dreamed of. I am extremely greatful for this and all the opportunities life has given me, my family, and my employees. Through the years I have had to develop systems to make sure I keep track of orders and timelines. I feel like I do a very good job at this, but I’m not perfect. Most mornings I try to write down the previous orders and conversations, hence why I ask to be messaged them. Then, when my anxiety is flaring up and I feel like I forgot to write someone down, I go through all my messages, voicemails, emails, comments from the last week or two, to a point where my anxiety eases, and make sure I have everyone down. Chances are high, I look at the order 3-4 times before it gets lost in my phone. I am continually trying to improve on this system, but it takes time. Anyways, that’s the long story of me trying to say; if you think I forgot about you, chances are high I skipped over you or don’t recall the exacts of our conversations so just reach out and remind me. I’m not offended and I hope you aren’t either as I don’t do it on purpose. I am a huge believer in sticking to my word, but sometimes I do need to be reminded of what I said, and if I’m wrong, I’ll do my best to move mountains to get back to my word. I’m a firm believer that my problems are not anyone else’s problems. I also don’t know if every gets together and decides to order on one day, but we will sell $500,000 on a Monday and then nothing for 10 days.

I forgot to mention, along with the farming and this business requirements, I am forcing myself to be more present with my growing family. I have been throwing my phone more on the counter at night and saying, “I’ll deal with you tomorrow”. My wife and kids are great at understanding I am busy, but I am forcing myself to choose them more over everything else in the world as they are only young for a little while.

Like I said, take it how you’d like. This is my reality and just sharing it with everyone so you are well informed.

All this talk about putting red fuel in semis, I just have a question, how can the board go down 60 cents and the price at the pumps are staying elevated but if you have certain apps, you get huge discounts that are more reflective to the board price. Keep in mind, prior spot months where higher that have expired.

The app featured is the Mudflap app. If you text me 605-770-8591, I can send you a referral code and we each get $10 when you make your first purchase. The app didn’t cost me anything when I downloaded it a few years ago. You can look on the App Store if you wish to download it yourself. According to my friends accountant who does his trucking company stuff, the price the pump shows is the price you can deduct from your taxes vs what you actually pay. This system is very similar to a credit card rewards program, but check with your accountant as they know your situation best.

To me, a side entry shed is about as useful as a grain cart driver in 20 bushel beans……. It works, but really not worth ...

On a similar note, the 15 inch beans were .3 bushels less than 30 inch beans. Late season hail did plague this field.

Prior to us saying that we use our calf shelters for our fall herd, how many producers were using calf shelters for the winter for their fall herd? I’m talking 7-10 years ago? I know there have been a lot of producers buy our sheds for their fall herd recently, but I am doing research if our research into the benefits we see on our operation is changing management styles. I do know there are a lot of fall herds we have helped by them using our sheds. I also know that calf shelters used to be called ‘death huts’ and our shelters have changed the opinions of a lot of producers there too. I also know we have changed a lot of producers opinions on how to manage calf shelters and when to use them. I’m just curious because I honestly don’t know of anyone who used calf shelters for their fall herd prior to us showing the benefits and how we accomplish it. Maybe we aren’t as unique as I think, maybe we are….. that’s why I’m curious.
