Last round of embryos for the year went in last night. It was the first time in our life and our ET technician’s life that every recip cow that was set up for an egg took an egg. Pretty exciting! Highly recommend using the 7&7 synchronization protocol. Now we just have to patiently wait for ultrasound day to see how sticky they are.

Lots of exciting matings went in featuring Connealy Cornhusker, GB Fireball, Mohnen Discipline, Koupals Diverse, and some simangus embryos flushed to KRJ Dakota Outlaw.

Should make for a nice set of calves hitting the ground next spring!

We’ve never seen our pastures this thin before and we’ve never turned cows out this late but we’re happy to finally see some cows on green grass. It’s been stressful managing the herd through this drought but at the end of the day we’re just happy to be doing what we love everyday. We will all get through this together and be stronger because of it.

Our favorite donor, Mohnen Jilt 2420, spit out a beautiful heifer calf this morning. One of our favorite things about this cow, she looks like this year round no matter what she’s getting fed!

Be on the lookout for her progeny in the future. Next years bull sale will display 8 embryo bull calves out of her out of the $525,000 TD Doc Ryan and the $500,000 Connealy Craftsman

They are all standouts early on so be ready!

Beans going in the ground on 15 inch rows courtesy of Agland Coop. This is our first year experimenting narrow row beans and we’re excited to see how it plays out.

We are optimistic this planting season, we have some moisture in the ground and water in the dugout but we need to say a prayer for all farmers and ranchers across the midwest for some more timely rains.

📌 Calves are mostly out of Mogck Promise. With a few out of Moke Commerce, Koupal Diverse, and Bartelt Barricade

📌 Cows are out of Hoffman Bar None, Koupal Signal, and Bartelt Hard Drive who is out of our foundation donor cow Mogck Jilt 361. She was also the donor dam of our top selling angus bull on our recent bull sale

📌 Cows and calves come from the same AI and breeding program as our registered herd and are a safe bet to make some long lasting profitable cows
