The gardening chef 👩🏾🌾👩🏽🍳🪴
In 2023 after hosting the 1st Annual Juneteenth Farm to Table Dinner I wanted to make a conscious decision. To grow my own food and share with guests that some items came directly from my garden. Since then I’ve learned, I’ve grown and I’ve enjoyed gardening a whole lot. Better late than never but I do wish this was a skill and hobby I grew up with - what a luxury it is being born in the Appalachian area and being able to grow your own food.
I’m so grateful for all the folk I’ve been able to connect with over the years through gardening. So many individuals has taught me so many different things when it comes to growing your food. In the end there’s no right or wrong way you just have to get to it and believe me the time is now.
As long as you have sun, seeds, soil and water you can grown your own food.
