Yesterday was my first birthday without my husband Worth. I was 17yrs old when we met and now 67yrs old. It was different for sure. I started with tears of sadness and ended with tears of joy. This crowd gave me (from what I can ever remember) my FIRST birthday party. Don’t get me wrong, Worth always did special things for me, dinners and being so kind but party’s were MY thing for others. Last night I had Our son call and sing happy birthday with his beautiful family and our daughter Sarah and my chosen daughter Ashley made a big deal about lil old me. Including cake and ice cream and I even blew out a candle! Each of these adorable children made me homemade cards (my favorite) and brought me to tears of humbling joy. I say this to share, grieve when you need to, but don’t move in there. Enjoy the good, look for the wonderful gifts our Lord gives us because they will always be there.
