The flail mower has been an incredible time saver for bed flipping. We can shred mature broccoli plants into the tiniest pieces in one pass. After that initial pass we make a second and sometimes third pass just to make sure we get all the stems.

We went from each bed taking roughly 30 minutes up to an hour (depending on the weeds) to a quick 5-10 minutes per bed.

We also use it for flipping lettuce beds, terminating cover-crops or overly weedy beds, and general mowing around the farm.

It’s also a great upper body workout 😅

Here’s a quick update on our Cosmic Peach Charapita f2 plants. We currently have 8 growing in the ground, and these are the first 6 to show us what we’re working with!

Obviously our favorite is the one in the first photo. It looks nothing like the original Peach Charapita, so hopefully it tastes great 🤞
