The Svec Farm, family owned since 1898, is proud to offer grassfed, grass-finished beef directly to customers. Our beef is available by the whole, half, or mixed quarter, or by retail cuts. Our Belted Galloway cattle are a smaller, heritage breed that finishes very well on grass, resulting in tender and juicy meat. Not only are our cattle delicious, they are also good for you and good for the land

. Contact us to set up a visit, get in on an upcoming harvest, or purchase retail cuts. Free delivery available within an hour of the farm. Tucked inside the larger farm is the Svec Farm Branch. The Branch is proud to offer free range eggs for sale.

The monarchs are back! For the last many years we’ve noticed monarch butterflies gathering on our farm to prepare for their migration. Happy to see them returning to roost in our trees again this year. Photo by our friend Dan Kemp.

We move our cattle and sheep frequently! Here you see the fun part, turning the animals onto fresh grass. Behind each move is a lot of work: setting up fences, checking fence, moving water and mineral, taking down old fences … Never a dull moment in giving these animals and the land the best care we can.

Things are looking lovely in the pasture this morning. Spent yesterday sweating in the heat and putting up hay for these guys to eat all winter. Grateful for sun to get it put up and definitely grateful the cooler day today!
