Burro days was fun to be had, but the real star was Tashi whom had spent several years turned out. We put a halter on her for the first time and took her to town. Tashi was a rock star.

Bulls went out for breeding, which means they got weighed and checked for any maintenance needs. Here is some weights, ages, heights, and body condition scores. The 1500lb bulls are very big boys. We used a bovine weight tape on Magnum to test against the scale. It showed 1399lbs just a 44lb difference, so if you do not have a scale the weight tape is pretty close! Why do we measure? For health, education and long term records.

Buddy and Tashi will be heading in for Burro Days this weekend. Saturday and Sunday July 25th and 26th. Located on the corner of 4th street and HWY 9 in Fairplay, CO, our booth will be full of yak meat and fiber products, plus you get to pet and on love these two. Come see us!
