We are a fully equipped Standardbred breeding facility located just east of the city limits of Findlay, Ohio. Hickory Lane is currently the home of standout stallions McArdle, Dejarmbro, Uncle Peter, Racing Hill and Deep Chip. Unique to Hickory Lane is its strategic location. Located just off interstate 75 in Northwestern Ohio, Hickory Lane is the only major Standardbred breeding facility in the a

rea. The Farm encompasses ten buildings including two houses, four broodmare barns, a stallion barn, a breeding shed, a maintenance building, a blacksmith shop, an all-weather 1/2 mile training track, and miles of fencing and pasture land for the horses. Hickory Lane has state-of-the-art breeding facilities. The laboratory is equipped with the latest and most up-to-date equipment to provide you with the quality and professional semen transportation service. In addition to our excellect facilities, the University of Findlay Equine Veterinarian facility is only 10 minutes away. In the event that emergency vet care is needed, the University has surgical facilities and board certified surgeons on staff. Hickory Lane possesses one of the most knowledgeable and conscientious staffs in the state of Ohio. The Farm prides itself on its high quality, professionalism, and skill. Each horse at Hickory Lane is given the utmost individual care and consideration. Hickory Lane Horse Farm is owned by GBW Breeding Farms, Inc. Kevin Greenfield is the President and Treasurer of the Farm. Greenfield, is currently a Commissioner for the Ohio Standardbred Development Fund, and the president of the Ohio Harness Horseman's Association. He is also treasurer of the Ohio Harness Horse Breeder's Association. Greenfield oversees the overall operations of the Farm and is actively involved in the purchases of the Farm broodmares and stallions. Bradley Wallace serves as Farm Manager of Hickory Lane. Wallace is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Farm. Wallace possesses 39 years of farm management experience and is widely recognized in Ohio as one of the most knowledgeable and respected farm managers in the Standardbred industry. Hickory Lane stands ready with the quality stallions, professional staff, and excellent facilities to meet your every horse need for the future.

Alyssa is from Ohio and just graduated from Ohio State ATI with an Associates of Science in Horse Production and Management this past December. Her passion for horses started at a young age and she decided to make a career with them when she started her first internship at Hickory Lane.

Alyssa has interned several summers at the farm and started with us full time after graduation. Her favorite part of her job is watching the foals grow up and start their careers as race horses. Before starting at Hickory Lane, she didn’t know Standardbreds had both trotters and pacers.

Alyssa plans to continue in the breeding industry. We are grateful for all of her hard work for the farm!

Kendall is from Morrow County, Ohio and graduated last May from Ohio State ATI with an Associates of Science in Horse Production and Management. Her passion for horses started at a young age as she showed and was around horses most of her life. Her parents bought her her first horse when she was 5 and she has loved them ever since!

Kendall’s started with us in January of this year and her favorite part of her job is helping to foal out mares. The most surprising thing she has learned while being at Hickory Lane is how to cover tails with tail bags before Artificially Inseminating.

A fun fact about Kendall is she trained and broke a wild Mustang. Her love for the breeding industry started at a young age helping at her Aunt and Uncles breeding farm. She really enjoys foaling mares, collecting stallions and working with the yearlings. Her ultimate goal is to have her own breeding farm someday.

Mackenzie has been a part of our team for nine years! She graduated from Ohio State ATI in 2019 with an Associate’s degree in Equine Reproduction and Management. Her passion for horses began at a young age, inspired by her Mom’s lifelong involvement in the equine industry. Today she rodeos and trains horses for herself.

Mackenzie’s favorite part of the job is prepping yearlings for the fall sales season. One of the most surprising things she has learned at Hickory Lane is the number of mares that some of the stallions cover each year!

A fun fact about Mackenzie is she was first on a horse when she was just 6 months old. We are grateful for her and all of the hard work she does for us!
