As we prepare to pass out final exams—a test for students in the Seedstock Management and Merchadising course to make real-time recommendations that could very well move the needle for the university’s teaching herd. More than genetics, and definitely way more than exhibitions and sales— resharing Rachel Gabel’s 2023 piece seems fitting. The students enrolled in the Seedstock courses at CSU have unique opportunity to gain genuine hands on experience with cattle, data, and both producers and consumers largely due to a decades old campus cowherd.
